Wonderful resort with amenities for everyone. It clearly is a unique place.

The resort is nice and in a beautiful area. It was jammed with children. The only place in the entire resort we could find that was an adults only area is the pool near the spa which requires a $75 day pass to use. The resort also has a program to opt out of housekeeping and they will donate food to feed a family of four in the local area. Great program and we opted out. Their instructions said to text if you needed additional items such as fresh towels or coffee. We tried to get fresh towels and coffee twice. No towels. No coffee. Disappointing.

Con’s. Noise from the AC kept us up all night. Cranking sounds. Additional fees…

During our three-night stay, even though we didn’t opt out for the housekeeping, our room was not house kept for two nights. We ended up running out of basic toiletries like shampoo. In our last day of stay, a thunderstorm caused outage from 4PM to 9PM. I thanked the crew to make an open picnic as the dinner option. But it was a horrible experience and the resort didn’t even try to address it when I checked out. This is an over priced and arrogant place.

Excellent ambience, extremely helpful and courteous staff, lots of amenities. Travelled with family (including 2 kids) and we all loved the pools. The resort sits between mountains and the view is beautiful! Must visit especially if traveling with young kids.

We also loved the historic charm of the property and the beautiful surroundings. There are plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained, but it’s also a great place to simply slow down and relax. Overall, we had a great family getaway!
-
Wonderful day with a beautiful well maintained property. I wish they had at least one more restaurant but other than that wonderful stay.

Simply beautiful place Very disorganized. Screwed up both golf tee times and one dinner reservation. Other guest had numerous complaints about dining and event services

Dining options are not as plentiful nor is the menu as robust as one would hope; this is further complicated by the very limited dining options off site as this location is very remote. If you are planning a stay, you should be sure that there is enough diversity in things to do and eat on site. While the staff is very polite, you will find them very scripted. Sincerity is void. Midwesterners will particularly notice this difference. Stairs are plentiful and elevator service does not offer full coverage to every floor and every room with. Strong consideration should be given to using a service for your luggage to get to and from your room. While I believe southern charm may be a goal, they fall short in the areas of hospitality, sincerity and outward friendliness. We found the property and rooms to be clean.

Martha's market had terrific scones and pastries. New room was quiet and amenities were fine. Beautiful scenery when walking around the resort
