The Independence

It is located next to the river and a lovely park. Close to Main Street near restaurants and bakeries. All within walking distance.

Room was wonderful with a view of the river. Check in was fast and easy! Continental breakfast was so good with freshly made Belgium waffles, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit etc!

Nice room

This is the first time I stayed in Independence. The hotel was very nice and clean. The stuff was great. My balcony overlooked the Willamette River which was really cool. There's a park next door as well which was nice because I brought my dog with me. They offered free breakfast in the morning. They offer a lot of amenities for travelers. And the town is really cute.

We definitely want to come back and visit. Thanks for being amazing 👏

Clean room in a great location. The only downside was the rooftop bar was closed for a private event.

Service was not so good in the restaurant.. Not sure what was going on in the restaurant.. Sign said wait for seating.. Waited ten minutes in the waiting area near the bar.. 4 people in the restaurant.. 3 employees working the bar.. One said pick our own.. Went out there.. No service after 10 minutes and went off-site.. Lots of restaurants close.. Hotel as advertised.. Nice location, awesome hotel staff, quiet, beautiful view.. 5 stars!! Lower restaurant… 1 star for service.. Bad night?? Next time I will plan on off-site and not wasting our time..

The rooms are very clean. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is great. We really enjoy staying at this hotel.

Amazing place and an amazing time!

Wonderful staff. Nice, clean facilities. Great rooms, great area. Enjoyed a morning walk along the river. My only complaint was that the breakfast was a bit on the lacking options side and in a very small cramped serving area.

This time had a few glitches, from 12pm to 4am the room next to ours was noisy and even after talking to the night clerk nothing was done to have them be quiet. The main amenity at a hotel is a good nights sleep and that was a fail on the staff's part, The chairs in both rooms should be replaced as they are worn and the legs are coming off. We did not use either chair. Our stay at the Independence is usually faultless and this was not the case this time.

I asked if I could check out later and Monica accomadated me I still left before checkout but she gave me peace of mind. She was also helpful with information regarding sightseeing. Paige also took down my number and called me when my room was ready rather than waiting until 3. I only had breakfast once but for the price I think you can work a little more on the food. I'm still rating a 5 star because I loved how clean it was.

selection was meager. Coffee ran out several times. To be fair, there was only one young lady in charge of the entire breakfast bar.
