The staff was attentive and very helpful.

Breakfast was delicious. Friday night dinner was spectacular. Guests should be told to make reservations immediately for dining in restaurant. The staff throughout our stay were professional, friendly and helpful. There should be ADA ramps on all stairways. Grab bars should be in all bathrooms. The pool needs refurbishing. The hallway carpet on the 3rd floor needs deep cleaning or replacement.

Very disappointed with the breakfast—limited selection. No late-evening entertainment; it felt like a retirement home.

Everything was perfect. The rooms, the views, the restaurants, the service. It was a first class operation. Great amenities. Expensive but worth the money. Nothing.

Beautiful property, amazing views, lovely amenities, great activities, restaurants and experiences. Gorgeous rooms, a place to relax and enjoy. Valet with ease, great door service. One front desk staffer was challenging, making things harder than needed, with challenging request to speak to a manager (why, why, why). Computer system isn't well designed to accurately indicate who has the booked experience. My email with my first and last name received my mom's massage appointment, she received mine. Great idea, but either an input error of sorts. Wish there was a simple price sheet for the additional experiences at the concierge instead of having to click through each on the website. Easier to see what's available and the cost.

Tranquil, peaceful, beautiful! Great restaurants, everything! Computer system, staff couldn't get the right notifications to the right person. I got mom's massage, she got my notifications, when our email addresses are our first and last names.

I have never met a friendlier or better trained staff in 50+yrs of travel. Trained to call you by name; surprise xtra’s on night turndown. Low key hospitality and excellent food. I will remember the Salt and Meadow yeast rolls as “best ever”. Upstairs halls could use touch up paint and artwork but room was immaculate and bed/pillows etc very comfortable.

Beautiful hotel with magnificent views of the water. Grounds of hotel were immaculately kept. All hotel staff were superb in their service and demeanor. Nothing

Beautiful, peaceful, relaxing environment. A location and experience that is beautiful, relaxing, and enjoyable! Friendly staff, including some standouts in hospitality and guest services, who made the experience so lovely! Many amenities covered in the daily resort fee. Unique experiences available, and great variety of experiences. Excellent restaurants on property, with delicious food. Truly dog friendly! Dogs get bowls, a bed, toy and a dog bag dispenser. Staff greets you, greets your pet and does their best to make you feel welcome. Some areas to improve are front desk customer service and communication, such as listening to the guest's details or requests. Key details needed to be reiterated a number of instances. If a guest says they paid for two rooms at the start of check in and we've both arrived, begin by making check-in efficient, if possible complete the process for both parties as indicated. If someone books an activity, send the email to the right person with the massage or activity. If the other wants to pay, should easily be possible. If using Microsoft's Power Automate Flow, you may need to deviate for manual entry situations. If a special occasion is shared with the staff, mark it in the computer, whomever learns of it. Ensure the guest receives the white envelope at check in, versus giving a guest an unpleasant time, just to receive 4 cookies in a cloche. If a guest asks to see a superior staff member, provide the staff member, don't question the guest repeatedly why, when they request. Why was given, stop questioning the guest, giving a hard time. I ended the questioning, "I've asked to see "person", please, Thank you". Pressure is unpleasant and unnecessary. The other oddness was the grounds. They are gorgeous! However towels and glassware stayed at benches and Adirondack chairs for days.

The Tides is a beautiful inn with a wealth of things to do. We enjoyed a sail on the Galene, taking out a Duffy boat to explore Carter Creek, listening to an excellent lecture on raising the Civil War ship the Monitor, working out in the well equipped gym with lovely views, swimming in the creekside pool with complimentary towels, umbrellas, sunscreen and lemon water, walking in the woods to the organic farm, exploring Irvington and Kilmarnock. Lots of good restaurants in the area and on site. The staff was super helpful and we enjoyed our stay. The weather was very hot so we didn't take the bikes out as we had hoped to do. We didn't realize how important it was to make reservations several days if not a week in advance for dinner on site. This was on us, the concierge called us over a week before our arrival. But we are not good at planning ahead - especially to a place we haven't been before. Thankfully it all worked out - just had several meals at local area restaurants and ate earlier at the on site restaurant the day we did get a reservation.

Beautiful property in Irvington on the water. The hotel and really whole property has been renovated since we were last there. One of our favorite places. Staff is so friendly and wonderful! We went for our wedding anniversary! Would like the casual waterfront restaurant to be open earlier and not closed 2 days a week. glad it was open when we were there.

The staff was the friendliest and most helpful that I've ever experienced. I loved that there was water available almost everywhere I went. Bathrooms were gorgeous. Beds and pillows were great. I will bring my dog next time! The food was little expensive for what it was. The pool needs some work. I wish there was another pool that was kid free for adults that want to relax. It would've been nice to have a disposable bag for my dirty clothes. I wished there were more USB charges stations in the rooms.

The staff couldn't do enough to make sure we were in good shape while we stayed there. The accommodations were excellent. The restaurant was lovely, however, very expensive.

A beautiful and peaceful spot for a getaway. Excellent on-site restaurant and an oyster bar!

wish the spa had been open

Really enjoyed my stay in a beautiful room looking out over the harbor. The bed was comfortable and the other furniture clean and attractive. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Both breakfast and dinner in the main restaurant were excellent, and the view from the dining room and outdoor terrace lovely. Enjoyed walking a loop around the property, including the boardwalk along the shoreline.. Would have been very happy to stay longer!

The Tides Inn was all we could have asked for a quick weekend getaway!
