Wild Dunes Resort – Residences at Sweetgrass

During my stay, the cleaner made up one bed in a 2-bed room and left the other bed unmade. When I informed them, they asked me questions about whether I had personal items on the bed, I didn't. But all the questions were as if it was my fault that the 2nd bed wasn't made up. The dining area did not have enough seating as the bar area is oversized. So we left and ate at other restaurants in the Isle of Palms. The only service that was credible was the front desk. The facility needs a management overall. Beautiful location, poor customer service for a resort. You also have a 10am check-out. Unbelievable!!!

Day staff were awful. They didn't greet our vehicles upon arrival & continued to greet other vehicles. After 15 minutes we got out of the vehicles and asked if they were going to help us & where we needed to go. They said yeah just go check in & gave us a ticket. We had to request that they bring a cart for our bags & ask again how the valet service worked. Luke had no idea what was going on & disappeared to the point we had to go looking for him again as there was no one else there to help. Mind you, this was around 10AM, not like it was 2 in the morning or some off time. Once we got to the front desk, I stated my name & the lady Ashley responded with, "okay?" & an attitude & proceeded to stare at me awkwardly and not say anything. So, I stated "well, I have a reservation". She then proceeded to behave like a robot. I swear everything she stated was out of a manual somewhere & there were zero deviations from that mode. She gave me one wristband & we went to the pool to wait until the room was ready. When we went to the pool they told us all parties required a wristband & gave us trouble with access. So I went back into the lobby to see about more wristbands, The same lady was present & told me that we do not get more wristbands until our room was ready. (Keep in mind my room had been paid for prior to check in.) I explained to her what the folks at the pool said & she turned on robot mode again. I walked away. I would say more but I don't have enough characters remaining.

Overall the place was nice but little things were a problem but they did fix what they could quickly except for the elevator. Happily there was another elevator at the other end of hall.

It would have been great to know ahead of time that the property was card only as we brought cash for our vacation. So check in was rough. We found the staff to be a bit short with us. Except for the valet team who were great, friendly, and quick. Hotel room was perfect and the cleaning service was great as well.

Wild Dunes Resort is the best resort we've ever stayed at! We've been there twice, and both visits were amazing. The resort is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. The beach is gorgeous, the pools are great, and there are plenty of activities for both adults and kids. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and helpful, making every stay relaxing and enjoyable. We can't wait to come back again and highly recommend Wild Dunes Resort to anyone looking for a perfect beach vacation!

Room was great and quiet from hallway noise. Was easy to get around the property. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The AC units were so loud every time that they kicked on it was difficult to sleep. The shower door didn’t keep water in the shower very well. The check in process was very chaotic and I did not like that we had to use the valet. It is challenging to unload 5 peoples belongings quickly into one single cart while the valet is waiting to take your car away. We had to call our car back up as soon as we got to our room because we still needed things. The daily parking fee is also exorbitant.
