OYO Hotel Jackson South I-55

I reserved a room on June 16. When I arrived at the hotel, I was told they were full and could not honor my reservation. I was turned away. They told me I needed to contact Expedia for a refund. Expedia told me I needed to contact OYO Hotel for my refund. Back and forth we went for 6 weeks. No resolution. The OYO hotel manager said, "It's been forwarded to management." Both Expedia and OYO were unhelpful - blaming each other. I still haven't gotten my refund. In short, they stole my money.

I understand that it's getting renovated

Rooms have no tv. One set of towels for a two day stay. No toilet paper. Did not clear room during two night stay. Luckily I only needed a place to sleep that was close to family event.

The key card I got when I checked in had a different address and phone number than the hotel. When I got to the room, there was no remote for the TV. So I had to go back to the front desk to ask for one. They promised they would bring it to the room, but they never did. Also, we were 2 people traveling, but there was only 1 set of towels in the room, when I asked for a second towel for my husband, the woman at the front desk told me that it is only 1 set of towels per room, even if there are more than 1 person staying !!! The airconditioning made so much noise that we had to turn it off to be able to sleep, But it was in Mississippi in June, so we ended up not being able to sleep because it was getting to hot. There are also trains passing by behind the hotel throughout the night.

Absolutely disgusting property!! I wish I could upload pictures . On top of that, the property charged me an extra $30 to have the same room.That I paid for in full on the website. Staff was rude and un helpful. Drug use was very prevalent at this location as well. Very sketchy if I could give 0 stars I would.

It was like something out a scary movie. Avoid at all cost.

The location was great and I like the staff need a hot water comes slow I'm a plumber and I know why it takes so long to get hot the room I was in Price stairs cut my feet and but I'm ok.

Does OYO not even know who did or did not check into their place? We ended up staying at the Quality Inn in Hazlehurst, MS. We arrived at OYO a little before 3 pm. No one was around. We found the place in a state of complete disrepair. What a hole we thought. I told my wife maybe they're remodeling, and we should see what the rooms looked like. So, we went and put gas in our car and came back about 25 minutes later. Still, nobody was around. Us and other people pounded on the door. After about 15 minutes of that and lastly calling the phone number provided (347-752-4159) and getting no human to talk to on the other end, we gave up and left. Pissed off and tired after already driving 12+ hours, we called other Hotels and found a place to stay the night. It's highly unlikely we'll stay at the OYO again and that brings up the trustworthiness of Expedia. How can you recommend a place like that?

Rooms were sold out

Went to property to check in at about 1030pm and all check in staff was missing n on wall was a phone number for the manager. U had to call the manager to check in. I did n was told there is no staff to check me in n was supposedly tefunded my money. Never recieved a refund n had to jeep callomg phone number to manager
