Elk Refuge Inn

A fantastic lodge. Beautiful room, well equipped, modern, stunning view, great access to car. Perfect for Jackson.

The main room was spacious and bed/pillows/sheets were adequate. Solid kitchenette and shower. I docked one point from the rating because there was a musty smell when running the A/C unit.

Elk Refuge Inn is perfectly located a few minutes from Grand Tetons National Park and downtown Jackson. The view from our room was amazing and we loved having a kitchenette and daily housekeeping services! We would definitely stay there again if we go back to Jackson.

The Inn is very close to Jackson. The room was clean and the kitchenette was stocked. It was great having a laundry room a few rooms down that included detergent. The staff were eager and helpful in giving their recommendations for hikes and wildlife viewing.

We would highly recommend the Inn because of cleanliness and proximity to the park and town

Elk refuge inn was perfect for our vacation. The code door locks were so amazing. It was so nice not having to wait to check in at a desk rather we just used our code and had no issues at all. Same thing for check out. The staff was very responsive. House keeping was very thorough. Cleaning as if we were checking in all over again. Would highly recommend staying here. I also loved that it wasn’t right in Jackson since most days there was traffic just to get into Jackson. We also saved money by using our kitchen for cooking breakfast in the mornings. Less traffic, great views, and able to come and go as we pleased. Very happy with our stay.

Great location and well-equipped property.

Staff was super nice and helpful, we even had an early check in which was great! Love the room, everything was honestly perfect aside from there not being any curtains, so that morning sun was extremely bright every morning and woke up us up. Please install some kind of curtains for people who don't want to wake up at 6am every day. Since the hotel is off the highway you also get constant highway sound of cars passing, which can be pretty annoying at night.

Staff was excellent, very helpful and nice! A/c was fantastic! View was incredible:) We only stated one night so we would be closer to the airport and it worked out great. A very nice, small motel with lovely owners. Everything was very clean and they had a washer and dryer that was free and brand new.

The Inn was just outside of town, which was very nice because the traffic didn’t keep you from getting to the Inn.

Excellent location to access GT and Jackson, helpful and pleasant staff, clean room and free laundry. We will come back for sure when visiting the area next time.

The location a bit outside Jackson on the road to Grand Teton Park is ideal. The room with plenty of room and a small kitchen area was useful, comfortable and has a great view overlooking the Elk Refuge area and Sleeping Indian mountain. I have stayed at the Elk Refuge Inn a number of time before appreciated the efficiency of the management, the quality of the rooms and the housekeeping staff, and the view.

Great home base for the Tetons. Easy check in. Will stay again.

Best service ever.

Elk Refuge is simply awesome! The kind of stay I'd copy and paste into every trip I take. The staff was incredibly kind and thoughtful. The bed was comfortable. The view of the refuge was quite nice. But the thing that set this stay apart was that the owners thought of EVERYTHING. I mean, Ritz Carlton-level "wow" factor. Keurig and pods in the room with REAL COFFEE! Free washer and dryer for use. Every time we turned a corner, we found some other aspect that the management had been thoughtful about. This level of care doesn't happen in 2026. AT ANY PRICE. If you are spending time in Grand Teton, the location is incredibly convenient too. You avoid the Jackson traffic getting into and out of town while still having easy access to Jackson for supplies. And the price is more reasonable than staying downtown. So trust me. This is where you want to stay!

This is an outstanding Inn... It is conveniently located 15 minutes from the airport and one can drive to the entrance of the National Parks without going through Jackson... And Jackson is located just 2 miles in the opposite direction from the Inn.... The staff made sure the room stayed clean and everyone was so friendly... We want to return to the National Parks there and will gladly make the Elk Refuge Inn our go to launch pad for enjoying our time there... Keep up the good work

The room was very clean. Not a large room. Kind of tight moving around with 2 people. But, comfortable! Liked the long counter where microwave was located. Had a huge mirror! I got ready there while husband used the separate bath. Very convenient. Bed was COMFORTABLE! Even did a load of laundry with the free washer/dryer they offer. And they provide detergent too! TIP: everyone wants to use . But there is only 1 washer and dryer. Start EARLY when it opens or lunch time when everyone is at the park. Location was great to the the Grand Teton Park. Check in and check out is excellent. All by text. They give you a CODE as your room key. So no key cards..I loved that! When you are ready to check out, send them a text. They respond immediately! Recommend this small delightful hotel for a short stay. Especially if you’re visiting GT.

Lots of space, clean, conveniently located

Great location near park, elk refuge and town of Jackson. Hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful. Free laundry and detergents a very nice touch. Small kitchen allowed for meals in rather than high cost of restaurants in town. Would definitely stay here again.
