Kent State University Hotel and Conference Center

We have always found this hotel as inviting and comfortable. We were disappointed this time that the gym was set at an uncomfortable 82 degrees and there was no way to change it. I spoke to the desk clerk and asked if the heat could be lowered or turned off in the gym. She said she’d speak to her manager, but nothing was changed by the next day. It was very uncomfortable.

The cons: The maintenance and cleanliness of this hotel is terrible. Hallways are full of chipped and peeling wallpaper, the shower and sink had pink rings of soap scum and mildew, there were stains on the walls and carpets, and handprints from previous guests on the windows.

breakfast was good, no issues at all with anything, but not 5 stars because nothing really jumped out as awesome either - thank you - would stay again and probably will

Our stay was a disaster. It started off well when we received a free room upgrade. I was so excited when I saw the huge soaking tub, only to find out when I went to take a bath that there was no plug. I called down to the front desk, but they said they didn't have one for me. Since I hadn't been expecting the tub in the first place, I didn't feel like I could be too upset about there not being a plug. However, when I went to take a shower instead, there was a hair at the bottom of the shower. The absolute worst was when we were getting ready to leave the next morning. We found a pair of dirty underwear under one of the beds!!! I was horrified. The lady at the front desk was apologetic and made some notes for the housekeeping staff. They did waive our $14 parking fee, so, I guess there was that. However, for what this place charges it was not at all worth it. We won't stay here again.

It was absolutely gorgeous! The room was impeccable, the outdoor patio was so inviting. My daughter is going to Kent State in the fall, and I stayed one night for her orientation. Will definitely be back. N/A

Take away the gay pride flag out of the lobby!

Overall, the property and staff were great.

Excellent accommodations, hotel looked like new, room larger than usual, all amenities were very good All was excellent.

Location. Noise. Uncomfortable. Weird smell. Dirty.
