We arrived before check-in and the staff was accommodating and got our room ready very quickly. However while we waited, we had lunch at which time my wife had to settle for her third choice , a salad, since they were out of her first two choices. Also, while waiting to be seated, we got a sense that we were not a priority and watched several wait staff walk by before we were greeted and seated. The room was small with no air conditioning, we couldn't open our windows since the screen was pried away from the window plus everyone walking by could see into our room. Needless to say, we were scheduled for two nights, but only stayed one.

The property was lovely and made a very nice end cap for our last 2 days in Alaska. The bed was comfortable and the staff very accommodating. We booked a last minute 1/2 day fishing excursion. Capt. Conner brought us to an area for the last day of fishing for king salmon. We caught a king and a silver. We would recommend this resort to others. Be aware that there are no nearby restaurants other than Timber restaurant. We celebrated a friend's birthday and the salmon and craft cocktails were delish. Unfortunately the halibut was dry and overcooked. Despite that, everything else was very good.

The restaurant on-site is a large circular log building with sweeping views of the water and waterfalll off to the side. We had the breakfast buffet, lunch, dinner, and drinks at the bar during our stay this week and each experience was nice and didn’t feel rushed.

The breakfast was not hot or worth $25. Way too much bread. Tea water was cold. The only thing I didn't like about the place was the breakfast for the value

Great food, bartenders and managers were top notch. They offer shuttle service to town which makes it easy to shop

The staff does not make you feel welcomed. They did not have the standard greetings. No professional manner at all. It was really not a good idea to hire some high school students during the summer for front desk services. When we checked out, she did not even ask how was our stay. She didn’t even know that we paid through Expedia and was going to charges again if I had not made it clear with her in time. The room is so dark and doesn’t have good privacy. The entire room only has one lamp over the nightstand, that’s all. The other lights are in bathroom area. What made it even worse is we can hear and be heard by next-door neighbor. There is a door to next room. That corner should not be placed with any bed. Unfortunately, there is a bed right next to the door from both rooms, and in the middle of a the night, I heard people coughing, in the morning people talking. My husband and I were so concerned that people over there also were also hearing us very well. We did feel very much violated. Almost $300 per night. The restaurant Timber is even worse. Not going to come back, for sure.

The location in relation to the view is spectacular and I am sure if you are a keen fishermen this is the place for you however, as we were looking for something as a vacation and not fishing enthusiasts it did not live up to our expectations. The team are mostly very friendly however, there are some who were not very engaging at all. It was amazing to see the fish that were caught and seemed like a very top notch operation from that perspective. Austen the lady behind the bar on our last night is definitely an asset for the resort. The room was not serviced for our stay, the wifi was very intermittant, we could hear the people above us wake up for their early morning fishing trip so when they are up everyone is up, the bathroom fan sounded like a jet engine when it is on. It is quite a distance from the town,, if you can catch the hotel shuttle is fine but the taxi fare was up to 100 depending on the taxi driver. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss - on our last morning the coffee and the juice ran out with no refills. Quite expensive breakfast for what was received. This is definitely more of a hotel for those who are wanting to go out and fish and quality of accommodation etc. is not highest on the list.

This property is part of a fishing dock and beautiful nature preserve with waterfall. The hotel itself has stunning views and nature walks, as well as numerous fishing excursions. The rooms are adequate and have a “log cabin” camp feel.

Property and surrounding areas are absolutely beautiful. The level of hospitality is incredible. If you’re not careful you’d think they actually like you. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Loved the view and food was exceptional. Mixup of communications between staff and van driver for airport pickup but the boss bought us a drink. All good. Thank u, Melissa

For what you get, the price is a little steep, especially for food. Breakfast is done at 9:00; so when we got there 10 minutes after and were charged the full price per person for leftovers…waffles and bacon was all that wasn’t old and dried out, it was a little disappointing. And dinner was extremely expensive for what you get. Paid a third less for a better meal in town. But the views are unparalleled and during cruise season it was great to be extra far away from town. Locations was a winner, trails and waterfall nearby too.
