The Heathman Hotel

Even better than expected. Restaurant was good too.

I was excited to try this spot. The inconvenience of the parking situation and the lack of room service was disappointing. The fan setting in the room could not be adjusted and because it was constantly cutting off and on it kept me awake. Had the room set on 64 and was uncomfortably hot all night. I will not be going back. I do want to commend the staff, however. They were very kind and accommodating.

Very nice rooms - loved the backlit head boards, very nice touch. Rooms were also very clean with nice finishes. Would stay again! Would have liked some more guy equipment / space in the gym.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel. There is no complimentary parking—only valet for $30/night or 2-hour street parking that requires moving your car except on Sundays. At check-in, I was charged a $100 deposit, which I was told would be released within 7–10 business days. The room was clean, but for a hotel at this price point, I was surprised by the lack of basic amenities. There was no microwave, ice bucket, or even a laundry bag. We ordered room service, but there was no menu in the room. The only menu I could find was an outdated spring menu on their official website. I ordered two pizzas, two apple juices, a Sprite, and a beer. The bill was $94. What really frustrated me was seeing a $190.51 charge/hold on my card afterward. When I called, I was told the additional amount was being held in case we used valet or purchased anything else and would take 7–10 business days to be released. No one explained this BEFORE I ordered. For ONE NIGHT, I had $559.61 charged/held on my card: $269.10 for the room, $100 deposit, and $190.51 associated with room service/additional holds. Nearly $560 tied up for one night at a hotel that lacked basic amenities was ridiculous. The additional holds should have been clearly disclosed beforehand. Definitely would not stay here again.

Best stay in Kirkland, however the 2nd floor rooms facing North above the garbage bins are noisy on garbage day mornings [Friday]!

I have stayed at the Heathman in Portland many times but this one in Kirkland is not nearly as nice in my opinion. I had to wait over an hour for my room which was supposed to be ready at 4. I called at 1 for an earlier check in because I had to be at an event at 5:30. My room wasn't ready until 5:15. Seems to be way understaffed. Many other people were also waiting for their rooms.

Location in the heart of Kirkland is the key, as we were up from Olympia to attend a concert at the nearby Kirkland Performance Center. Hotel restaurant food and service were excellent, which isn't always the case evan in many better hotels. Couldn't have asked for more!

This was a terrific hotel experience from start to finish. I got free valet parking with my Expedia silver status. (One note: a sign about the parking that is more visible from the street corner would be helpful.) The lobby where our friends were waiting was comfortable and has good coffee. The room was spacious with good lighting and a comfortable bed. The climate controls were responsive and quiet. The bathroom amenities were great, as was the shower. Finally, the staff was super friendly and helpful. Five stars from me!

We had an amazing stay. The rooms were beautiful and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. We ate at the restaurant several times and the food was delicious. Nothing!

Perfect for what we needed- in&out. Very clean, valet was easygoing and readily available.
