If you want to stay in the really old, full of history hotel - it is your place. Don't expect any modern stuff in room.

We loved staying at the Luke Lure Inn. It's nothing fancy but sitting by the pool was very nice, even though the lake beach was closed. Be aware that each room has their own window AC unit- the property DOES NOT have central AC. We were okay with that but just wished they had had ceiling fans! Overall the property is a great value for the price.

It is an old Hotel with a lot of character and history. It could use an update. Overall clean, friendly staff & a cozy bar! Definitely a small town feel . We will visit again.

Outdoor pool and courtyard area was beautiful. Staff was very kind and helpful. Room was okay, decently clean. Keep in mind you are staying in a very old hotel. By no means would I say it's luxury, but they can charge as such because there are not many convenient hotel options by the lake. As there is no breakfast at the hotel, you will have to find your own. While we understand that service is quite sparse in the area, the provided WiFi is also not good. We had a good experience overall, but likely would just find a vacation rental nearby next time.

Our room was located in the motor lodge which is a motel. We didn't make reservations at a motel nor did I want to stay at a motel. Very unsatisfied. Will not return. Beds were rock hard and the place smelled of sewage.

Location The rooms were old, bathroom window had no blind had to put paper over it for privacy. No weatherstripping on the door, had to kill 2 bugs. Smelled musty and there was a step in the bathroom that made it unsafe.

Hotel needs work , elevator was slow and filthy inside. Hotel needs updated and improvements.

I am assuming because of Hurricane Helene, like the rest of Lake Lure area, this place flooded. Our problem was that there was a strong odor coming from the basement. They sprayed something into the air to cover it, but it was awful. We had to leave a day early because it was just too much. I hated to write this review because we love Lake Lure, but sadly it was hit hard and they are still in recovery, not just them but the whole area.

Bar and restaurant not open until Thurs and I arrived on wed. I got the creeps and didn't want to stay there. I did not spend the night.

Bed was broken.. bathroom not fully cleaned… hair in sink and in toilet
