The location on top of the hill was gorgeous They had a shortcut to walk up the hill that was clearly marked amongst their property, but there was no lights that helped guide the way for the evening time. Very dangerous at night. Especially in the rain. Hotel Under construction so the only elevator that was accessible was a very far walk from the main lobby and not ideal.

Very good

The hotel itself was beautiful, everyone was very nice and helpful, the restaurant was very good, we could walk everywhere. The website didn’t make it clear that the beach rights weren’t actually on the property. We thought the beach was right by the hotel so that was our main disappointment.

Fall season, prime time in the NY and NE regions and the hotel decided that was a good time to renovate the upper floor. Drilling was going on most of the week, the hallway was stinking of smoke which entered the rooms. The front desk staff were not very pleasant. They gave me a room early but it was smelled quite awful ( like a full diaper had been left there) so I asked to move which they did allow albeit in a surly way. The second room was fine. The location is great, the restaurant was quite good with some decent food and service. The fireplace in the lobby area was a nice touch. Overall, a pretty good place let down by some poor choices by management.

The place is lovely with perfect location. Meals were good. Room was nice with great view. The staff were unsympathetic and slow to remedy a situation pertaining to renovations which we were not warned about when booking. We accepted the noise during the day and went out for the better part during the day. However at 5pm we were dealing with a loud extractor fan at a stairwell entrance very close to our room. Not only was the noise unbearable (even in our closed room), but the toxic smell/fumes not only made it uncomfortable to walk the hallway, the noxious smell was even coming into our room from the gap under the door. We notified the desk staff multiple times over the next few hours with little effect and very little apology. It was only resolved close to 9PM after my husband went down to the front desk once again. Upon checking out this morning we were asked if we enjoyed our stay and we explained how it was marred by that situation. She too gave a mumbled apology and that was that. At the very least something more heartfelt, at best perhaps comping our breakfast charge?

It was a beautiful place to stay and relax. The beds were so comfortable. The place was very clean with lots of places to sit and relax in front of the fireplace or outside by the fire pit. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were great. It was a short walk to town where there were lots of cute shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay there again. Still doing some renovation work, which we were aware of when booking. We weren't bothered by it but some people might be.

Clean room. Liked that we had a mini fridge and little patio. Appreciated that it was dog friendly. Nice views from outside. Only downside was that it was on a really steep hill. So the walk down to town and back was hard on a family member with bad knees.

The hotel was very nice . What I did not like was that someone went in my open bad and removed my Burberry prescription glasses

The location of this hotel was within walking distance of Main Street. The rooms are updated or in the process of being updated. Staff was friendly. Liked the convenience of having options of breakfast and dinner on the property.
