Holiday Inn Express & Suites Frazier Park by IHG

When the check in staff mentions that your room is on the first floor overlooking the parking lot so you can keep an eye on your car, you’ve got to wonder, why do I need to watch my car? The property ground are in bad shape: not well maintained, over grown, trash strewn about. The room I stayed in was basic and in need of updating but was very clean. No coffee maker in the room. Breakfast was nice.

This was one of the cleanest places I’ve stayed at, and the manager was personally thanking her employees as they clocked out. Great stay if you are heading over the “grapevine”!

Excellent price-quality hotel. Definitely I will stay again on my next trip San Diego to San Francisco.

The only thing to do there was to lounge by the pool but the pool was out of service. No notification prior to booking. We left instantly, didn’t even check in but the hotel & Expedia refused to issue a refund !!

Nice staff. Great breakfast

The pool had a sign “pool area closed” but it wasn’t so thankfully we asked so we got to use it but it needed to be cleaned. Like vacuumed and some net cleaning. It was useable still but would have been a little better if it had been kept up on

The pool was dirty and cold in the middle of June. The hot tub was not working. That should be mentioned before booking. The room was very clean, and the staff was helpful and friendly.

Great quick stay for our road trip! Staff were friendly, beds were comfy and clean, and the breakfast variety was great for my teenagers! Upon checking in, we did learn that the fitness room and pool were unavailable but that only bothered one teenager who loves the gym. Overall, great stay and would stay there again!

Appears that hotel is being remodeled — furnishings were sparse and room was bare. No pool (under construction) and no gym. Only one person on duty (or anywhere in hotel) during checkin on Friday evening. Not her fault, but wait was about 20 minutes due to a lot of people arriving at once (2 sets of checkins before me and many more crowded into the lobby after I arrived) — check in person apparently must ask everyone if they want to join the hotel program so that added 5 minutes more to each check in and I was so tired from the long drive it felt like it took hours to explain to each person how to join, the benefits they'd get, and their email address. Really? Can someone give front desk clerk the authority to skip that step when it is clear that there are at least five separate groups waiting to check in after the person currently being served? It really was frustrating. But again, not her fault and she was trying her best. Shower fixture was hard to use. Breakfast helper was great — she continuously was cleaning off tables and keeping the buffet clear and orderly — couldn't have been more conscientious about doing a good job.
