It suited our needs

In addition to this crookery, the room was very shabby. All of the fixtures were very worn. The toilet was not even seated properly on the floor. I took many photos to document the extent of the dilapidation. Needless to say I am very disappointed with Clarion. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone at any time. It is dishonestly run and unpleasant to visit. Writing negative reviews is not my first impulse. However, a month of the run-around is beyond anyone's patience.

Some of the reviews for this place are harsh. You get what you pay for. This hotel is old but they are freshening it up. We didnt notice any ongoing construction like some mention so thats probably done or away from the guest area. The bed was comfortable and clean but the old carpets were comically sticky, to the point we slept with our socks next to the bed incase we had to get up. Staff was great and the restaurant was open late. Breakfast was very bare bone but still nice to grab coffee and a pastry. We'd stay again as long as its priced accordingly.

The onsite restaurant and amenities I did not take advantage of, although I slept well regardless of centralized climate control. Clarion Hotel will treat you gratefully if you happen to be passing through the college territory of Lewiston to spend the night.

Our only issue was with other guests. There was a truck parked directly outside our window, with its headlights on and music blaring for at least two hours - from 8-10pm. We called the front desk, but the music didn't stop until close to an hour after.

Need to have more trash cans around the hotel. The room service need to have more staff around when people take out the extra trash from the room stay longer in the outside making the place look unmantained

It was the cheapest option I could find at the last minute, though still expensive for what you get. It was convenient to get to from the interstate. The staff were friendly. The room was fairly clean, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was unexpectedly good, with bacon and eggs, french toast, etc. The facility is generally run down, with many things in need of repair. The shower was basically impossible to control and barely warm. Housekeeping appeared haphazard, with 4 bottles of shampoo and body lotion but no soap. It's a place that was probably quite nice in its day, but that day was many years ago.

Absolutely disgusting hotel. Dirty room, sheets, and towels. Water doesn’t stay hot. Freezing cold after 3 minutes. Would never stay here again. Extremely disappointed

There was a change of ownership the day before my stay, and i believe there were some reservation system issues. I reserved an ADA-compliant room and was issued a standard. The gentleman at the counter said my room number out loud. That might not seem like an issue, but as a solo female traveler, it creates a safety issue. My room had not been fully cleaned yet (no towels or garbage bag), as i passed the cleaner on the way in (at 7pm, i did not check in early). But it was presentable with clean linens. I'm sure if i had asked, they would have brought towels. In fact, i did have a knock on my door at about 8, but I had already boobytrapped my door for the night. Dinner from the hotel restaurant was excellent! Try the poutine and brussel sprouts! Overall, good value for the price. Please only point to the room number instead of saying it out loud.

Nice host great pool. Enjoy my time here.

New owners are refurbishing the entire hotel grounds and they are doing very well. The pool area is awesome!! Can't really think of anything.

There really isn’t any hot water when you take a shower it gets a little warm and then back to freezing. There are no coffee makers in the rooms and they’re supposed to be non-smoking, but they have extra blankets with cigarette burns in them. lol we are swimming pool. Children had thrown rocks in there and the step out of the pool needs an extra ladder. It’s so high I don’t think an elderly person could get out of it or a child without help. The hot tub was clean and very warm in a few months when everything is re-remodeled this will probably be a comfortable place to stay. But keep in mind it was permanently closed as a Ramada.

Upon arrival, the property was poorly maintained, outdated, and not as advertised. The cleanliness, overall condition, and appearance did not match what was shown in the listing. I specifically chose this property based on the photos and description, and I felt misled by the significant difference between the advertised experience and the actual accommodations. I would not recommend this property to travelers who expect the accommodations to resemble what is shown online. Greater transparency and accurate photos would help future guests make informed decisions

The hotel is seriously run down: 1) there were no hangers in the closet. 2) the AC was very noisy 3) the TV remote did not work 4) the shower knob had to be pulled incredibly hard with both grand from within the tab for leverage to turn on the water 5) the room was not cleaned up after our first night, 6) first time in my life they cleaned my room while they said I had to be in the room, 7) when I tried to cancel the room the first time, the lady in the reception refused to give me her name and title and said she could not approve or even answer to a call by Expedia, 8) the pillows were the cheapest polyester, I felt like sleeping on a balloon, 9) the cabinets under the sink were screwed shut with visible screws, 10) the bathroom light will not turn on by the switch unless we flicked the switch twice, 11) the bar’s beautiful stainless steel countertop was held in place by a deck screw right in the middle of it 11) there was no phone in the room and the central phone number went to an unswearing machine, 12) the fire alarm was flashing brightly every 15 seconds right above the bed.

First room was terrible. Noisy including barking dogs. No signal for tv.Strong unclean smell. Asked to change rooms. Second room better, but low water pressure in shower. No washcloths, broken lock on door, no remote for tv. Beds were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff helpful and friendly.

I liked the daytime manager and he addressed all of the needs. It was not clean, the nighttime manager was rude, did not address me when I came in. The nighttime manager did not address any complaints I had

Staff, restaurant and pool was great. Good size room There was an issue with hot water. Didn't have time tell front desk, but we sure once known they would have had it fixed

Nothing We had no working room key. The door opener was broken. They had to let us in the room with the master key. I could not leave the room with my 2 children because we had no way to get back in. The front desk person said to leave the hatch in the door so it doesn’t close. What!? We get in the room the remote had melted batteries in it when I went to call the front desk the phone did not work. I went back down to ask for a different room and was told there were no empty rooms available. Went to smoke a cigarette and there were drug deals going on in the parking lot. Watched the guy go into the room across from ours but we were supposed to leave our door open when we left the room? The entire stay was horrific. The pictures don’t even look the same. False advertising. I should get a refund. Terrible zero out of ten
