room was clean there was a paint patch in the bathroom tub that was peeling, tells u it it really being cleaned. not sure how often then clean but the 6 nights we were there our room cleaned once, the reception desk was ok not as friendly & scars that checks on the guest given it’s a resort esp. during the storm. We were there during the storm & not a lot of activities that the guest could enjoy they had movie going on all day in the conference room, with free treats It would have been nice if there was arts & craft, dancing, learn how to make a lay etc . I’m sure this is not the 1st time they had a storm come in,it would be nice to think ahead for different things to do to entertain the guest & since the guest can’t drive out to get food they should at least give 10-15 % discount during the storm. They have a gorgeous pool but the middle u can’t go thru u have to go around there very tacky line of yellow string attached to an orange pole separating the pools. There is this beautiful beach right at the property that not set up for guest to swim.It would be nice to actually have a way to enjoy & swim in it other than the pools we are in Hawaii. A cost to park, they are already in a property that is tacked in, town is accessible to walk to, nothing is close by, only way to get in & out is to have a car or an uber so to charge the guest for parking is a let down for me It . would be nice to be greeted with a lay or a flower or a drink. plumeria all over the property make use of it

The resort is currently undergoing construction, so depending on where you are, you may hear some loud noise. It didn't really bother me, it was more of a “wow, that's loud” moment. I understand that work needs to be done, and the construction workers were very professional and respectful. They kept to themselves and never made guests feel uncomfortable, even when people were walking around in swimsuits. I did walk down to the beach, but there wasn't really anywhere to lay out, and the waves were too large for swimming during my stay. Part of the pool area was also closed, although I'm not sure why. My only real issue was housekeeping. My room was not serviced after my first night, even though the website states rooms are serviced daily. I didn't report it because I returned exhausted after spending the entire day exploring. I enjoyed my stay and found the staff very friendly. However, I personally spend most of my vacations out exploring, so I didn't use the pools, spa, fitness center, or other resort amenities. For my travel style, I'd probably choose a less expensive hotel next time rather than paying additional fees.

The staff were amazing, so kind and so helpful. The rest of the resort was disappointing. The pools and pool deck were slimy and murky with parts of the pool area closed off with orange cones and rope because of gross slippery slime. The hotel is under construction. The restaurant is subpar and overpriced. Won't be staying again.

The resort was under construction which was not mentioned on their site or when I called to request a handicapped bathroom.

We did enjoy the ukulele and lei making classes and the evening music nightly at the bar. It was all fine but I wish I would have known before booking and wish we didn’t pay what we paid for room, taxes, resort fees and parking. I certainly feel like there were other better options on the island for the price point we paid

Our room was beautiful and well maintained, and we received house keeping daily. We can’t want to return and enjoy the newly renovated property!

construction, lack of amenities due to construction, one staff not up to par customer service wise. Seemed angry

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

the front desk attendant was rude and condescending - a poor first impression for a 4-star hotel

    Very nice stay!

After asking the receptionist where the parking was she directed us to a lot that was full. Parking is over 10 minute walk in the rain. The security came out personally on a golf cart and wouldn’t let us park in the only section that had parking left although it was marked for valet the valet had gone home and was closed so instead of letting us use one of the open stalls, they told us to park in a lot that was another far walk away in the rain. No common sense or guest courtesy. Even after explaining to the security that we are checking out early they refused to let us park with over 20 open stalls and valet gone for the night, absolutely no one using the stalls. I will never go there again. No signs for direction to find the lobby and construction everywhere. This is the worst hotel service I’ve ever had.

We were checked in but there was an issue with the room. The hotel luckily had a room open that we could move too because changing hotels at that time of night would have been almost impossible. The staff was great through the whole experience though.

The Outrigger is currently going through renovations but it didn't take away from the rest of our experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
