As always love the property but this time we were out way way out away from the grounds which was disappointing and louder than usual but still a nice stay.

We absolutely love staying at Appellation in Lodi. Such a beautiful location with rooms that are spacious and lux! Brunch at Americana House was so phenomenal. Overall, great experience at Appellation!

Paid for room with patio. But patio was literally facing just a trees and filled with bees. Couldn’t use it. It’s average over all

Great place, we have stayed several times!

I think our experience would have been even better if the birds had been released to an appropriate sanctuary or donated to an organization that could provide them with a more natural environment. Keeping captive birds did not add any positive value to our stay, in fact, it had the opposite effect.

Property was perfect in all aspects.
-
A lovely place to stay with a very nice restaurant.

This was a wonderful property. Beautiful and beautiful well maintained. Many nice features and a wonderful restaurant.
-
The gardened grounds of the property, genuinely caring staff, and the dining/wine tasting options on site.

I love everything about the property we went on a Monday looking for a place to relax and disconnect from everything and this was perfect

The landscaping has never been more beautiful! I have been enjoying getaways to Wine and Roses for years now. I love this little enclave and especially evenings in the bar listening to Kim on the piano. It’s been a few years and we were so flattered that she remembered us. I will say for the first time ever we were disappointed with the dining experience. We did choose to dine in the bar, and I think the Bartender has something to do with the experience. Our appetizer was completely overcooked. It took a while to arrive, so I suspect it sat under a heat lamp for some time. The fries (hard to screw those up)were cold and flavorless.Timing was off, dishes average at best. Need to mention that while the rooms appear to be maintained, ours was completely void of personality. We could have been anywhere- Des Moines, or Burbank for that matter. There was not one piece of artwork anywhere. The furniture was misaligned and while it was a very spacious room, it was in desperate need of personality. A plant or other organic touch would go a long way. Gone is the welcome wine and complementary nibbles. When we left the property, I stopped by the reception because I wanted to share some feedback and the woman at the front desk never looked up once. The whole experience was surprisingly impersonal, unlike any previous stay. Since becoming Appellation it’s really lost its charm. That’s sad, I love Rudy and his best man ( the two very entertaining parrots) and the pre check- in pool access

A really beautiful location with friendly staff
-
Gorgeous property. Very serene. Not enough time.
-
Great The toilet ran constantly, the shower was almost impossible to use and had Little to no water pressure

I thought the dining and amenities, other than the spa, were sub-par, so I would recommend dining out elsewhere in Lodi. The restaurant onsite is closed on Tuesday and weenesdays. The Mason Lodge has a limited breakfast menu and the price was $60-$70 for 2 breakfast sandwiches and 2 drinks. Overall, we would recommend the place for future lodging, now that we know how to manage the other aspects.

However, I will say this stay wasn’t as great as the first time and it was solely due to our room. We still loved our stay and cannot wait to return. My original preferred suite was not available, so upon looking at their avail options, I chose based on my current physical needs.I’m not sure this is an Expedia issue or resort issue, but the room I chose was falsely advertised. On Expedia’s site their Jr. Suite is handicapp accessible. There are a lot of pictures which show NO stairs, NOR does it say anywhere that this is a 2nd floor 2 story suite. All though some of the pictures shown were the suite we actually got & stayed in, but I chose the one pictured purely based on the cool rounded bathroom with WALK IN shower & tub with handles, as well as a balcony off the bedroom (hoping for a courtyard view). THIS IS WHAT WAS OFFERED.I’ve been nursing a knee injury for a while and stairs are off limits, so I would not choose a 2nd floor, nor a two story suite. This is also why I wanted a walk in shower and a tub with bars for support. At check in I ways told their jr suites are 2 levels.I guess I’m just sup to know this? There was no ramp, lift or elevator. No walk in shower, - the room advertised was NOT what we got. I would make sure to check with the hotel if you have any physical issues.

Be advised, the property kept my 100 dollars deposit, for no reason. There were no damages and we left the room in a decent condition.
