Long Beach Hotel

It appears that this property has had some upgrades as of late but many many more are needed. Could hear every word our neighbors spoke through the cheap door separating our rooms. Common areas were rough and hopefully you don't end up on the unfavorable side of the property.

Property was dirty and run down. There were people fitting outside my room yelling and making noise late.

Uncomfortable bed. Just not nice property.

Terrible room, no amenities, old and dirty ironing board, TV didn’t work, phone didn’t work, king room was barely able to fit 2 adults, no available outlets, beach passes were to be provided at front desk but they had “run out”, ice machine didn’t work, vending machine for cold drinks out of order, curtains had to be left open or else the window a/c unit was blocked and at 5:30 am sunlight was streaming in, not much usable furniture, one plastic chair in room, fridge sitting on the floor…felt like a bad dorm room not a hotel room…Not worth the price!

The hotel was beautiful and the staff were so friendly and kind! The only concern I had was our sink not draining for the duration of the stay. Also, the elevator was very outdated. The parking is a toss-up, I recommend doing valet!!! I would come again just to see the staff though, wonderful crew!

The A/C was not working properly, the room was not very clean and one of the nights even that I was out from 7AM to 11 PM they never did the bedroom I arrived with the wet towels still in the floor and next day I needed to check out early morning.

Up above our room someone was moving furniture or something all night long. So we didn’t get much sleep.

Nothing really Refrigerator didn’t work well, the security safe they couldn’t get open, so had to carry valuables . The night guy at the desk was sleeping and not very friendly

I would not suggest this hotel. Felt very unsafe, even with security in lobby. Could be a great place to stay if they would stop doing “government rentals”….or whatever they like to call it. Great proximity to beautiful Long Beach, but not worth the cost they charge, or the caliber of people living there.

Hotel Room was great, we had a corner room which made it feel very spacious. Staff was helpful. Lobby is really cute. Good location. Will def. stay here again.

It was so convenient to stay in this place, very close to the beach.

Dates: 7/30 – 8/1 My stay at the Long Beach hotel was very disappointing. Reservations were for 2 rooms, 1 king size bed and two twin beds. The initial rooms reserved had several issues/concerns/complaints to the concierge. The rooms were change and considered an upgrade. The upgrades were again questionable and did not provide the services during my stay. Prior to my visit I checked with the hotel and Expedia to assure that the rooms were booked according to my request. Below are a list of my concerns: Bedroom 1 prior to room “upgrade” • No King size bed as requested and bathroom was extremely small (guest was large size person). Bedroom 1 “upgrade” • Upgraded Room - Toilet bowl was too low and close the wall. Water leaking behind the toilet (called for service no repair) • Bed was hard and uncomfortable Bedroom 2 prior to room “upgrade” No handicap assisted bathroom as requested, no safety bars Bedroom 2 “upgrade” • No handicap assisted bathroom as requested (Jacuzzi tub), no safety bars • Toilet too low, no stopper in sink, • Floors were old wood parquet floors and were extremely uneven in some areas. Balancing walking in the room was a challenge • Beds were on platforms and mattress hung over box frame. Bed was hard and uncomfortable • The door to the room swung outward not inward which is a fire safety hazard. • One bed was blocked by a wall preventing watching television Other concerns: The lobby had regular gu

Much of the hotel is SECTION 8 housing, not expected when paying this amount for a room. Upon arrival, there was a group of "tenants" on the front steps and in the lobby. With that in mind, I was startled when someone walked into my room at 2am. Guest apologized and went back to front desk to have them assign a new room. At 2:30 . security knocked on door to ask for ID and confirm that I was in proper room. Hotel did not check me in properly. If I was with family, This could have been a real problem. Such a shame. I travel quite a bit and this is bottom of my list for good experiences.

Upon entering we noticed the bar area looked like it had been recently upgraded, but unfortunately besides that, we felt like we were in an undersized and sorely needed of an upgrade room. We had 2 double beds in our room and neither bed had full sized pillows- only small square throw pillows to sleep on. The TV never worked, the AC (window unit) was terrible. Our room was warm all night. The bathroom was probably the worst part. The tub looked like it hadn't been upgraded in years. The sink was maybe 18" wide x 18" deep and whenever you turned the water on you and everything around the sink, got soaked. It was very tight and tiny. The staff at the front desk did not direct us to which direction our room was in (there are 2 sets of elevators/stairs) so we went up the wrong set of stairs the first time with all of our luggage to the 3rd floor, to discover our room number did not exist and so we had to lug everything back downstairs to the other side of the building. All in all, for almost $300 for one night, we were dissatisfied given the room was not cheap, it wasn't "clean" and it was extremely tight and undersized (bathroom especially). Also, for 2 double beds in a room, you should be supplied with 4 towels, we were only given 2 and 2 washcloths. It is a bare bones room that you could survive the night in, but we won't stay again,

I wasn’t there for the beach, but the location worked for what I needed it for Supposedly, we stayed in the renovated section. It didn’t look too new. the floors didn’t look too good/clean or new. there was a rip in the screen. Other than that, the lobby looked clean. The staff was nice for one night. I thought it was a little overpriced, but maybe that’s because it’s a beach town however I wasn’t able to be there to enjoy the beach and plus the weather wasn’t too good.

This property is not recently renovated as advertised. They may have slapped some new flooring and wallpaper in the lobby but the rooms are a mess. Bathrooms are in serious need of updating - including installing a sink that doesn’t soak you with water every time you turn it on. The hallways are extremely run down and gross. For $300 night the basic amenities and cleanliness should still be covered. I do not recommend staying here at all.

Staff, it depends on the person one of them was so good another one is not. The rate of this hotel is expensive for what it offers, it is old and also rooms are so old not renovated.

We had an excellent experience. The check in staff was so welcoming & accommodating, the room was cery clean, bright and spacious, and the bed very comfortable!!
