The setting. It’s showing its age. Carpet on our room was frayed.

The pool needs to be refurbished, the concrete is rough and hurts your feet. There are alot of black spots on the bottom, I assume they are algae. I also do not understand paying to park when they already charge so much for the stay.

The resort was incredibly family friendly. So many fun activities for the kids! (Movie night, smores, popsicles by the pool, snack station, bikes, etc.)

Been there many times and it is always a great stay. Very comfortable, clean and fun. All of the bars and restaurants are really good. We will be back.

Our biggest beef was with the pet policy. We paid extra for our dog and signed the pet agreement which included a dog bed, dog treats and dog bowl. We never received any of the above nor did they put the sign on the door stated in their own agreement notifying their staff a dog was staying within the room.

I also enjoyed how close we were to Austin proper. It was only a 30-40min drive into downtown. So we had the opportunity to enjoy some local restaurants. The one criticism I have was the paved walking trail. There was a recent rainstorm in the hill country which brought through a lot of mud. There were some parts of the path that were still completely caked in dirt with uneven walking surfaces. The areas were completely dried at this point but had not been cleared. There were also several areas where the grass and bushes had not been trimmed back, making it hard to navigate through the walkways. One area had an overhanging tree that had been knocked over. Overall enjoyed my experience and am marking Lost Pines as a resort to visit again.

This is a fantastic family atmosphere, great food, lots to do! I love how they have little activities around the property and the long horns and the lamas! The pool is a must! The rooms are spacious and beds are super comfortable. The one thing I think would elevate the property even more is if they partner with Texas Folk musicians and had more of a chill Texas vibe near the pool with a light Nora Jones vibe. The music was a little loud and a little 80/s for my taste and I found it a distraction from the beautiful pool layout and vibe that they are trying to set! Also in the am, near lobby, do not need loud music. Nice country strum low and slow matches the esthetic and vibe that I think the hotel is trying to accomplish! Love, love, love, highly recommend!

My family loves Lost Pines! We go every summer for a staycation to swim and relax. There has been a lot of really nice updates to the property and amenities. There is a new barn event building, new bikes, the landscaping has undergone updates/clean up to some of the areas that were overgrown, and rebranded restaurants. The Maude's restaurant area is really nice for sitting outside and having cocktails in the evening. This area is a great upgrade. We could hear frogs at night by the ponds in front of our room. Parking is now handled through Metropolis instead of the hotel directly. I did notice there are more 'reserved' loungers in the pool area, but there was still plenty of free loungers.

This is a great family-friendly resort. The staff is so helpful, kind and considerate. We only had one bad experience at one restaurant, Mavericks. Everything else was A+

Great experience over all. Except for the resorts phones not working for about an hour while locked out on my balcony.

First timers and we will definitely be back again. Two words for this place - family friendly! If you want a relaxing place for a family trip, this is it! Multiple restaurants, multiple pools (including one adult only pool), lazy river, hot tub, spa, golf course and TONS of fun activities. Movie night, smores, petting zoo, craft hour, sports hour, basketball, tennis, and pickle ball courts. Kids paradise and it felt so safe. My kids loved being able to grab a bike and ride around at any time. Loved having fresh towels at the pool, as well as many shaded areas in and out of the pool. Love the poolside service!!! Big things for our family are free water and hand soap in the bathrooms and this hotel offered both. LOVE having access to free drinking water! The only things we will do different will be the way we do meals. There are four different restaurants but they are all pretty pricey. The rooms don’t offer kitchens. I did notice microwaves and toasters located throughout so we will bring bagels and the fixings next time for breakfast, as well as sandwhiches for lunches to cut down on the $120 bills every meal time for a family of four. Recommendations for the hotel: get a second soccer goal + lighting for the field, add chairs for movie night and around the soccer field, add grills so people can grill their own dinners, and offer an adult craft each day!
