La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lumberton

Property was still being renovated they were still painting but other than that everything was good.

The hotel was disgustingly dirty. Found hair in my bed. The bathroom had men’s trimmed facial hair in the sink. Hot tub was cold with stagnant water. The hotel is under renovation but even what has been renovated has been done poorly. They also shouldn’t stick guests in rooms that are partially renovated with holes in the wall. This was definitely the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The lady at the front desk was the best thing about my stay.

Under construction and painting. Understand, but they should have attached a disclaimer as the price was same as I usually get there. Door locks had to be reinstalled. Refrigerator was out of its cabinet. AC fan very noisy. I only stayed 1 of my 2 nights

the bathtub needs anti-slip strips installed. Fairly slick.

The property lobby looks nice then you get your room and it’s down hill from there. The smell of musty wet air in the hot halls and then really strong paint smell the hall carpets are trashed and the room was pieced together and not done. Then bathroom floor transitions molding was off and laying on the floor and the paint and musty smell in the room was terrible. I woke up this morning to a roach crawling up the wall. It needs help this place. The staff was nice but the place needs attention.

Stationary bike had no no power, virtually unseeable. Only the free weights and medicine balls were the equipment that was truly functional. Staff was nice, friendly housekeeping staff. Entry way light into room had burnt out bulb.

When I got there, the lady at the front desk was somewhat friendly. After she gave me the room key, I went upstairs and opened the door, only to find it hadn't been cleaned. So I went downstairs to tell her the room hadn't been cleaned and asked if she could get me another room. At this time, she was on the phone, so she asked one of her associates, who was sitting in the "breakfast" area doing nothing, if she could come help her. She seemed very perturbed by the request. She asked me if I was checking out, and I said, with a very calm voice, that no, I was trying to check in. That's when things went south; she told me she didn't know that, so how was she supposed to know? But she said it in the most hateful way that made me take a step back in time to figure out if I had said something to offend her, but I know I hadn't. After she finished registering me again, she set the key card on top of the counter and went to the breakfast area without saying a word. On my way up to my room, I couldn't help but notice the carpet in the hallway appeared like it hadn't been cleaned for months. When I entered my room, got acclimated to my new surroundings, and turned on some of the lights, I noticed the dirt on the floors in MY room. I visited Lumberton to attend a funeral, and I didn't want to drive all the way to Beaumont for accommodations, but I wish I had. I've never stayed at any La Quinta Hotels, and I never will. P.S. Come clean this place up and down.

It was okay

The first room I was given and the entire 2nd floor smelled of extremely strong black mold. My room was worse. Black mold coming through the walls. It was so strong I couldn't breathe and my nose and eyes were burning and closing in. I asked to be moved and they did accommodate but they put me on the 3rd floor above the moldy room I was in. I COULD still smell it though it wasn't as bad. The dryer ate my quarters when I went to wash my clothes. I ended up just leaving a few days early. I couldn't take the mold any longer.

The microwave door wouldn’t shut so it had been unplugged. The cleaning manager got another one from a room for us to use. One highlight was the toilet would sing to you after you flushed… it didn’t flush well at all. Not sure what that was but it didn’t leak. I had to have my room key reset multiple times as it wouldn’t work. Morning staff was a bit snippy about our microwave not working. Flors in the hall needed to be vacuumed badly. And our door in the bathroom was dirty. For example getting out of the shower you could see dirt where you had stepped. I don’t like leaving these sort of reviews but this hotel needs some major oversight from upper management or corporate management.

some of the staff was excellent desi was very helpful during checking out I wish she was there when I was checking in. the first room I had it was never cleaned ,so I had to downgrade to a double bed room that had a knife in the mirror I was told it was from the last person staying there. I tried to speak with a manger they said there was not one on duty. then when they came in I tried to talk to them again they wouldn't even come to the front desk to speak with me. My daughter was terrified to sleep due to the knife in the mirror. the pool was dirty they didn't even attempt to clean it!! overall I would not stay at this hotel again!! the wifi was not working you couldn't watch the television in the room if you don't have to stay at this hotel don't !!!! they did have some friendly staff members which maybe it ok!

Room was damp feeling, smelled of mildew, and overnight person left without setting up bfast for the morning.

Hotel was very humid. Smelled moldy. Elevator broke. Very noisy.

Room was dirty, elevator broke, tv didn’t work. Took pictures and video. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had. I stayed there 7 months ago and it was great. Very disappointed.

Have stayed before, returned because of past visits. Under construction, elevator broken, no hot breakfast as advertised. First floor wreaked of marijuana like a Cheech & Chong movie. We are near our 70's and had to tote 3 flights. Had no one present at front desk at arrival. Hardly at all during stay. Sign on desk, call if you need help. Also no shower curtain in room.

Very disappointed. Musty. Cot was absolutely disgusting. Do not recommend

I stay here frequently to visit my husband and the staff and experience is smooth and pleasant every single time.

Waffle was good.

Location easy to get to Smelled like mold and would have been better to sleep in the vehicle because of the smell breakfast was horrible

This site is under construction. Lots of noise. May be really nice when finished. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good.
