Hyatt Place Cleveland/Lyndhurst/Legacy Village

This has been my go-to for about nine years when visiting family in the area. It’s clean, friendly, convenient and also has a great breakfast!!!

We enjoyed our stay

Although the front desk told me the hotel was basically empty the night we arrived, we were nevertheless put in a smaller room on the second floor with a rooftop just outside our windows - facing the garage. I was not told there would not be housekeeping the next day and did not have any clean towels.

Within about 15 minutes of checking into our rooms, our youngest child, who is 2 years old, accidentally hurt himself and began crying very hard. He was already tired and fussy from the long drive. About two minutes later—less than 20 minutes after we had arrived—we received a notice slipped under our door stating that if we did not keep the noise down, we would receive a final warning and could be required to leave the hotel within 30 minutes without a refund. This was extremely upsetting. Our son calmed down shortly afterward, rested, and there were no further noise issues for the remainder of our stay. I completely understand the need to ensure guests are respectful of others, and I would have understood a warning if there had been ongoing disturbances. However, we weren’t even given enough time to settle into our rooms before receiving what felt like a harsh and threatening notice. Unfortunately,our experience didn’t improve. During breakfast, I asked one of the employees for assistance, and he responded with a noticeably rude attitude, making another interaction with the staff unpleasant. Overall,we were very disappointed with how we were treated. We expected a little understanding and compassion for a family with young children who had just arrived after a long day of traveling.

Excellent location, walkable to mall, large rooms and a lot of free parking . Quiet in hotel, relaxing lobby.

Convenient location in the mall. Easy parking. Clean and comfortable room. Would stay again.

the room was very clean - the location is excellent - the hotel is attached to a beautiful mall with some great dining options! The amenities in the Hotel as far as bar and eating were not good so don't count on spending time in the lobby! Other than that I highly recommend for the location and the cleanliness!

If you like a dark room to sleep in, this isn't the place for you. There is a large gap at the bottom of the front door allowing a significant amount of light into the room. Also, the black out curtains are white, not completely opaque, and do not reach all the way to the window sill, allowing light to enter the room.

Check in was easy. Room location had a nice view. Breakfast was good but kitchen staff slow to replenish items. The pool and gym exceeded my expectations. Complimentary parking was exceptionally appreciated. My only complaints were both minor compared to overall stay. No microwave in room. Fridge was warm from being left open.

The breakfast options are okay. There is no coffee options after breakfast in lobby like most hotels l. Rooms are clean. Some items rusted in hotel. Pool is supposed to be heated but is really cold.

AC can only be set as low as 68° . It wasn't as cool as we wanted it to be. Other than that the hotel was pretty quiet

The room was clean and the hotel seems nicely kept. I had an issue upon check out where I got charged for the room by the hotel itself after I had already prepaid through Hotels.com. We called the front desk for assistance with how this happened and how to reverse it and he was the most unhelpful person ever. He said that it wasn't true and that they charged hotels.com but I was literally looking at my bank statement with the charge. At some point in the conversation he asked to put us on hold and he completely disconnected the call. We called back, and he forwarded the call to a reservation service for Hyatt that has nothing to do with anything to help us resolve the problem. I will have to dispute the charge with my bank because this has become such a hassle to get addressed by anyone. Hotels.com has tried to be helpful but everyone wants to see a bank statement when the monthly billing cycle hasn't even ended yet so I can only provide a snap of the charge online. Anyway, this hotel is nice, but watch your wallet if you pre-pay.
