Rodeway Inn Lyons - La Grange

The Rodeway's room was clean and spacious. It had the usual amenities. The bathroom had been updated and the bed was comfortable. Maria was very friendly at checkin. However, the bed had no blanket, just a sheet, the floor had been messed up with paint from the outside of the door, and the facility had very limited parking.

The staff was very friendly. I felt safe being here with my 3yo. Was kid friendly, we even met a few other families at the pool and our kids played together. The only thing they had for hot breakfast was waffles but they were good. They did have apples, yogurt, bagels, muffins, cereal, fruit bars, and other similar foods. Had juice, coffee, and milk. The breakfast area was clean. It is affordable and meets our needs. We will be coming back when we are in Chicago next.

My daughter and I each got a King Suite, with her room right over mine. The rooms are exceptionally large. There is a king-sized bed, and also it appeared to be a sleeper sofa, so you could probably fit a family in one room. The King Suites have free-standing, very large hot-tub sized bathtubs (on mine, you would have to push the "jets on" button on the outside of the tub, the one inside the tub wasn't working.) The clean bathroom had a good-sized shower, and a long counter, with a small coffee maker, cups, and soap. I don't use a ton of towels myself, but a family staying there might need a couple more. My room had hangers in the closet, but my daughter's didn't. There is no chest of drawers, but you could put a few things in the night stand drawers. There is a table with four chairs, and inside a cabinet is a microwave and a small refrigerator. This allowed me to use my restaurant leftovers. The front office was happy to give me a couple of paper bowls and plastic silverware, so I could warm food in the microwave. My bedside clock didn't work, but I always carry one with me, so not a problem. There's a good-sized TV, and it seemed to have about 30 channels, including several news channels, USA, and the three major networks. If you have a Netflix subscription, you can enter your code, and watch that, I think. All the staff were very nice, and helpful. Many of them seemed to be Spanish-speaking, but we didn't have any trouble communicating. The breakfast room is open from 6:00 to 10:00 AM. if I remember correctly. They have make-your-own waffles, two cereals (including Fruit Loops), apples, milk, yogurt, bagels and other breads. It's certainly enough to start your day, and very convenient, across from the front office. There are no phones in the rooms. The property is fairly small, so no problem popping down to the front office. Just a little upkeep is needed - fix the hot tub jets, replace the non-working electric clock, consider adding a small chest of drawers, and definitely put hangers in every closet.

Desk staff was super helpful, positive and an asset to the company. Twice in a row he was there for me while i had difficulties with booking my room.

It was an overall pleasant stay. We stayed in a clean room and the staff was friendly and helpful. It was easy to get in and easy to leave. The only thing I would change would be the mattress it was not very comfotable. Would go there again.

Parking was easy. Clean basic room.

Very clean the staff was helpful, but they really didn’t speak me English but everything was up-to-date. They had waffles in the morning so that was good for the kids and it’s next to a gas station and right next to the highway as well maybe like three blocks so that was convenient.

I liked the different breakfast options.The location was good That is was upstairs

Breakfast was simple but included . Noisy trucks hitting the joints of the the road in front and their empty trailers reverberating.

breakfast and the pool were very nice, better than expected. I waited 45 minutes to check in. noone in the office,couldn't find staff. Staff was nice once arrived. Also noone there to check out. I left the card key in a box outside the office.

A bit more road noise than I was expecting, but the recently renovated rooms were well done. Overall a comfortable place to stay.

I stayed for 2 days and the staff is so respectful and understanding. They are very pleasant and nice. The pool area was clean and easy to access. When I visit again I will be coming back to same hotel. They definitely catered to my needs and kids needs. Absolutely give them 5 stars and great job staff and keep taking pride into your work! I love it!

Very pleased with my stay here....got the suite n was shocked by how much I loved the room when I entered.....front desk clerk very helpful and even went out of his way to get me some forks and plates kinda late at night.......would definitely stay here again!!! Had a nice indoor pool as well
