Fantastic stay, wonderful staff.

The cabins were rustic and quant. Very clean and quiet. It was nostalgic with a rack of dvd's in the lobby and dvd integrated tv's in the room. It tied everything together. Obviously this isn't a posh hotel but it's a great way to spend some time with the family and take a step back from the every day hustle. The home made breakfast was a nice touch, I think the owners are doing a great job with running the place. The only thing I didn't like was that they charged us for a third person. I went with my two young boys and it was an additional $20 or so for the third. Not a huge deal but I'm not sure what justified that expense as we had a two bed room.

What a gem of a find! Would most definitely stay here again. You can’t beat the majestic view of the mountains esp when you wake up in the morning. Very reasonable price. Stacey and Brad are such gracious hosts. And oh, there’s Otis too ( 4 legged host). The Dutch baby pancakes we had for breakfast was delicious.

Friendly staff and easy parking. Clean room and excellent breakfast options.

There was a different home cooked breakfast every day which was excellent and there was tea and coffee available all day in reception. The room was very spacious and comfortable and equipped with a microwave, fridge and new TV The room has a nice little patio area with two chairs and a view of the mountains - gorgeous. There were some excellent restaurants within a few minutes drive as well - Pearl's Place and Pantry is highly recommended! Nothing

Loved our stay at North Shire Lodge..

Large room with cathedral ceiling, comfortable bed, strong shower, excellent homemade breakfasts in a very comfortable setting - inside the lodge or out on the deck, privacy, beautiful mountain view, large scenic, well-kept property, friendly hosts, very Vermonty with a touch of class, close to Manchester, Stratton, Bromley, Mount Equinox Skyline Drive, and the Lincoln family's Hildene estate. Can't think of a thing!

I did experience some drawbacks. These are my issues but I am sure there are others who’s situation are similar. I found the bathroom a little hard physically. The toilet is old and extremely low. Difficult to get up & down. My travel partner also found it very low. And the bath tub was extremely high. Very difficult to get in to. The grab bar was not in a good place to help with getting in and out. I realize these are ADA adaptations that come with an expense to implement these features but in this day and age I am surprised that it is not mandatory. Some changes would make it a much easier / safer experience. Also, sadly we found the mattress way to hard and had a frame around it that actually hurt the back of your legs getting in and out of bed. Other than those constructive points of interest we found the Inn to be just what we wanted. The room was nice and spacious and well appointed. The view out the slider door was so peaceful and beautiful. Just what we wanted. The choice of breakfast was great. And to have extra choices was wonderful as well. A bowl of cereal or yogurt before your hot breakfast is a great addition. Our hosts are a lovely couple and it was a pleasure to have met them. Perhaps in the near future some ADA accessible changes would make a good visit a great experience. Looking forward to a visit in the future. Thanks to our hosts!!!!! Mattress was way too hard with a very uncomfortable edge around the frame. Wish bathroom had better ADA features.

The moment you drive into the property is WOW. what a location, what a view. The cabins are cozy, the owners delightful. The property is also greatly located, a close drive to a ton of good restaurants, and a lot of things to do nearby. This is more on me than on North Shire Lodge, but I forgot to bring my earplugs and I can't sleep with any noise, and as it is the case in about 99% of all hotels and the like, the AC is loud. So don't forget your ear plugs at home if you can't sleep with noise (likely only a summer months issue).
