Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Mesquite by IHG

Before arriving, I called the hotel to confirm my check-in details and was told that the earliest I could check in would be 1:00 PM. We actually arrived a little before then, but we waited until 1:00 as instructed. Once 1:00 came, I was then told that only 1 of the 3 suites I booked would be available. Not only were the rooms not ready at the early check-in time I was told to come back for, but even at regular check-in time, 2 of the 3 suites I reserved were still not available. I understand I booked through Expedia, but that was still a major inconvenience. I had a total of 10 people with me, and I specifically booked rooms that were supposed to sleep 6 because I wanted the space and setup I paid for. While everyone still had a place to rest, that’s really beside the point,I wanted and expected to receive the rooms I booked, especially after I had called ahead to verify everything and was told I was good. There were also a few other issues during the stay. One of the room ice buckets had gum stuck down inside of it, which was unacceptable from a cleanliness standpoint. The thermostat battery was low, and the water pad/pool area was also having issues and was inoperable, to the point where the manager had to let everyone into the pool area himself. I do want to give credit where it’s due: Manager Desmond was very friendly, and accommodating!

The staff there was excellent! We were there for a meeting and my husband wanted to see the meeting room the night before and they accommodated us on short notice. We enjoyed our stay!

Room was clean, breakfast had several options but was still pretty minimal.

The hotel exceeded my expectations, starting with the staff. Everyone was kind and professional. The property was well-maintained, both inside and out. I was pleasantly surprised by the indoor pool, which was a perfect break from the Texas heat! I will definitely book here again.

Bathtub was stopped up by the time I finished showering I was standing in 6 inches of water See above,

Nice staff very clean and comfortable room

The room was comfortable. Breakfast options did not have much variety during the days that I stayed.

Great stay for a softball tournament weekend. It was a bit humid and condensation happened, but don’t think that can really be helped. Staff was very nice! The rooms were nice as well.

Black mold growing in the bathroom. Elevator breaking down 5-6x. Bed uncomfortable.

It was a good choice and the hotel was clean and comfortable. The oven broke so breakfast was minimal on one of the days we were there.

My room was pretty humid but otherwise it was OK.

The breakfast was nice THERE WERE ROACHES IN THE ROOM! I WAS HORRIFIED!!!
