Overall, a nice place, but I would not stay there again due to the smell in the room. The smell was of freshly cut wood, but there was no freshly cut wood in the room. I could not fall asleep with that very strong smell.

We really like Tru. Good and safe location. The buildings, properties, and rooms have always been very clean. The rooms are not cluttered and the furnishings are attached to the floor or wall and are weight-bearng and funtional. Our bathroom had good water pressure but was out of body-wash this time. The coffee is alwas hot and plentiful. The yogurt machine was empty also. Not much in the way of breakfast food selection that I wanted--like many other hotels: scrambled eggs, sausage, bread, pancakes, cereal, and juice. I will also add that while we were having breakfast, I noticed the housekeeping ladies (6-8) coming into work. All of them greeted us. They were in good spirits and all seemd happy to be there -- you don't see that often enough at many hotels. So, Tru by Hilton must be doing something else right.

The hotel itself was very clean and still very new. The lack of pool was disappointing but my fault for not confirming they had a pool prior to booking. The breakfast options were limited and the pancake maker was down, however it was still something decent to eat. The selection of board games in the pool table were nicely maintained and a fun time. Staff at check-in was not the friendliest, and they did not do late checkout or water at check-in for Hilton members that were not diamond Hilton members, even though those are things that you typically get at the silver status. The beds are comfortable. The rooms were small but perfect for what we needed at the time just to adult staying for two nights. Overall I would stay at this hotel again it’s much cleaner than most other hotels in Midland.

It has everything one would need for a business trip. Nice size bathrooms, mini fridge is nice and has a modern look. Definitely would stay again, has been my second in another city and it was just as good

This hotel is still in brand new condition. It was very clean and the downstairs hangout area with a pool table and game was a hit with the kids. I wish the rooms were slightly larger but I understand they were built that way to be eco friendly. Would stay here again!

Being a new hotel, everything was in tip-top condition. Having a pool table in the lobby was a lot of fun.
