Econo Lodge Mt Hope - Beckley North

The bathroom was clean but clearly old. The toilet had two sides but we got a plunger and fixed it. We didn’t use the pool but it looked clean. Free simple breakfast in the morning. It’s not a quiet place. Tons of people coming and going so we sleep with a sound app to drown out all the cars. Overall we would stay again if in a pinch but would rather find somewhere not as outdated and musty smelling.

Hallway floors dirty. Mattress cover had stains. Breakfast very limited.

The room was not clean I didn’t notice it until I pulled the night stands back and etc etc. Also out of a 6 day stay only one day of housekeeping. I think it needs to be daily.

Clean, quiet, value property in convenient location right off the Interstate. Stayed in two queen room that was great for one night.

The lighting in the room was not very good. There should be more electrical outlets available. It was hard to find places to plug in our items.

Room had a dank odor. Being late at night I was satisfied that at least the front desk had a big can of spray to alleviate some of the smell. Some lights didn't work in the room and there was no fire detector, just wires hanging. On the positive side, breakfast was good. Plenty of choices.

It was incorrectly mentioned in the reservation that the parking was not provided by the hotel. But the hotel has a large and almost empty parking lot (and parking was free). I had to call the hotel to find out that parking was provided.

I checked in late at night, as we pulled up to the place it looked run down and had some sketchy dude hanging by the building, but we had a long drive and thought it was just dated and we were just staying one night. I checked in at the desk and the room (146) I was given wreaked of cigarettes and had a missing smoke detector. Girl at the front desk moved us to the room across the hall (147) - great. My son opened the fridge pretty much the moment we walked in the room and cockroaches poured out of the refrigerator. It was disgusting. I went back to the front desk and told them we are leaving immediately. We were left scrambling looking for another hotel at 11:30 pm with 2 kids in tow, but nothing could have made us stay at this hellhole. If I could give this negative stars I would. You are better off sleeping in your car under a bridge than at this place. Spotted some rat droppings in our way out as well.

It was quiet & clean Breakfast wasn't great. Didn't like the coffee the only good thing was the waffle maker

No one manning the front desk. Had to buzz to get anyone. Saw others with h the same experience. Also we came the the morning breakfast about 45 minutes before it ended. The employee was doing a terrible job of replenishing. Us & many more had to wait.
