Decent small-town Idaho locally owned motel. Nothing fancy, but you get good value compared to some of the chain ones.

The room was clean and colorful. The bathroom area was nice and clean.

This Vintage Motel checks all the basics. Hot shower, Cold Air conditioning, refrigerator to keep food cold and fresh, microwave to heat it up in. Just the right amount of furniture in the room, and updated bathrooms. Fair pricing for meeting basic needs, and friendly hosts. The hot/cold handles on bath/shower were swapped and a little strange, but I figured it out. (Room 15) Bed was just a little firm for my liking, but the sheets were clean.

I had a great experience staying at this motel! The room was very clean and comfortable, and everything was well taken care of. The staff was friendly and always happy to help with anything I needed. The location was convenient, and the motel offered great value for the price. Overall, I was really impressed with every part of my stay and would definitely recommend Thunderbird Motel to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in the area.

Location and the hard work going into the facilities. The room had been painted and newish or cleaned carpet. Too much building decay ( cracked windows, disheveled curtains in every window, shower base cracked and issue showing through new paint, broken top lock)_ that did not off set new paint.

While Thunderbird is an old (MCM) motel, it was very clean and everything worked. It had a microwave, tv, air conditioner, and small frig at a significantly lower price than other hotels in Mountain Home. They staff was friendly and helpful. The only two real deficiencies were lighting and the lack of grab bars in the tub. But those deficiencies are also the ones had at almost all hotels. Insufficient lighting to read by is rampant in hotels, regardless of stars, price or size. We are older and like to bathe in the tub, but without grab bars , it is extremely difficult to exit the tub.

The building is clean, the staff were friendly, and the air conditioning worked. The bed was a little too hard to be really comfortable, but most motel/hotel beds are.

Room was updated. Super clean room and bathroom. They are working on the exterior, don't be fooled. Nice rooms reasonable price.

This property is old, small rooms and shower extra small. Old furnishings. Property felt unsafe. Not handicap accessible, management wouldn’t cancel reservations. Charged us for a room we couldn’t use. Property was old, furnishings old, rooms very small, and shower extra small. Looked like a druggy, prostitution hangout. Felt very unsafe.

Though it was an older motel, the room was clean. The lady at the desk was very helpful. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic!

Price compared to other motels in area. I knew it wasn’t going to be fancy. But, first impressions are important. Air conditioner didn’t work, shower faucet dripped all night

The room and bedding smelled of stale smoke. Although it was fairly clean, everything in the room was old and very worn out. The bed felt like a box springs rather than a mattress. But for the price and last minute accommodations, it was as good as a roadside motel could be.

I good choice if you just want a cheap, clean room for a night's sleep. The building and grounds are old and desperately in need of repairs, maintenance and upgrading.
