We were switched from a king bed to two queen beds and a balcony with a view. They were clean and comfortable beds but a little small for two of us on one bed. The balcony is not a private balcony because you are right next to the people next door. The view really is just looking out at the parking lot of the natural bridge building. It's the balcony that you see on the front of the hotel. I think I would have rather had a king bed room. The hotel looks like it was once very nice but has not been updated in many years. It's fine but not as nice as the pictures. It smells old when you walk in. It was ok considering the price of $99 per night. It had all the needed amenities and it was clean but not sure how clean the carpet is. The closet made my clothes smell musty. This could be a very very nice hotel if they invested in some upgrades.

Staff were nice, not overly helpful. The room is nice for the older building it in, but it seemed updated and clean. Beds were nice and the drive there was absolutely amazing with curvy roads along the river!

location is nice but this place could be so much better with some renovations

The hotel itself was nice, the staff running the hotel should not be the ones in charge. When arriving at the hotel I & other guests had to wait to check in because no one was at the front desk. Finally a man in a tank top came down and was saying the receptionist was busy looking for her cellphone in someone’s room, he was unsure how to check people in but was behind the computer hitting a bunch of buttons. My family & I then went to have dinner on the property & was told we would be seated they had to clean a table but the bartender said “just wait a minute” with an attitude. We waited 25 minutes with a 3.5 year old and 5 month old baby and no one in sight was paying any attention to us and did not care to seat us. Overall, hotel was a nice property to stay in but everyone working there does not belong working in a hotel.

“Historic” doesn’t have to mean rundown. Looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed or swept in weeks.
-
It's an older property no longer in its hey day but a great location to tour nature in a rural area with wonderful views.

I love this area and have stayed here before. This time there was no one at the desk to check in. I called from the lobby in case the person was just busy in the back. I eventually found someone in the tavern to help me. But then there was a line of people waiting to get towels. Then the tavern closed at 8... So no food for dinner. There was a used bar of soap in the bathroom(and no towels,)

It's for this weird old charm.

Hotel needs updating
-
The property just sold they have no staff to speak of . The same 5 people did everything and we were there for a conference so we saw them a lot

Frozen ribeye, instant mashed potatoes and green beans right out of the can.

The first room they gave us smelled musty and was on the first floor like an old Motel. The second room, was on the third floor with an exterior door. Smelled better, but bathroom tub was dirty. Looked like someone stood in the tub with dirty shoes. Front desk wanted to have us look at a third room, but said no and asked for a credit.

Sheets were stained dirty and it appeared the hallways had not been vaccumed in awhile. We also had to ask for more towels because we were provided with 1. Not the worst but not the best. Outside appearances needs a little help pulling weeds goes a long way in making the first impression better.
-
We got confused with the availability of Breakfast. This option is present only for some room packages not for all the rooms. one must make a note of it before choosing the room. This is a confusion which needs to be clearly mentioned when the room is chosen for booking.

Historic place

Great location close to the natural bridge and safari park.

The room was very spacious and clean.

The room was spacious and clean for the most part. The shower had some mildew places in the tile. The dinner was disappointing they didn’t have the fish so settled for an overcooked chicken sandwich. My husband’s tacos had too much white sauce. We didn’t stay for breakfast.
