Mountaineer Casino Resort

It's was clean the casino was nice. The room was nice and cool.

I stayed in the lodge area which is the older hotel area king size bed on July 4 the rate was 200dollers understood a holiday.The carpets are filthy in the halls and the hallway smelled like weed which is strang because this is a non smoking hotel.The room was average served the purpose again the carpets in the were filthy.Now for the casino part should of stayed home no entertainment if you like video slots you good I do not expected more real slots.I used to go here allot 7 years ago always had a good time even if I lost on the slots .Food went to the steak house 48 dollers per steak and everthing else alakart decline went to the gasby dinner which used to have very good meals spent 98 dollers for to steak with two side that stated grilled was not tasted steamed in a oven and no seasoning.lesson learned .Very disappointed in my stay lesson learned some things do not get better are stay the same

The hotel is getting old. They need to update some things. Like the couch in your room was dirty ripped,Old. But we still had a good time.

Staff were amazing and being able to walk to most of the amenities was great, clean rooms an all throughout the gaming resort. The food was delicious in the restaurants we went to as well! I recommend a stay here if you like horse racing,a little bit of gambling and a nice atmosphere for a weekend!

They had a sports bar with a limited menu, but the food was excellent. We did not try the restaurant on site, but we saw that it was clean. On Monday check out, the restaurant was closed. The small cafe next to it was good enough for a breakfast sandwich and coffee. Both were excellent. The casino area was excellent: clean, well lit, and the staff was great. There were ample betting machines available, and they were not crowded together. We went for the horse racing, and the facility was a very short drive to the track entrance. Again, it was dated, but well maintained. The overall is you would enjoy your stay there.

Room could use upgrade especially the bathroom. Overall clean room & courteous staff.

We were right at the pool and casino,

Arrived early at 2:00 pm due to an attempt to avoid a terrible rain storm. Our room was ready, however we were asked to pay a $20 early arrival charge. We did not and waited until 3:00 pm to enter are room without any extra fees. This is a rediculous policy!

Nice place overall but I wish the actual room would have been cleaned a little better. Not a deal breaker for returning just would have been nice. The hotel lobby and casino and restaurants are very nicely kept .

THE STAFF AT MOUNTAINEER IS FRIENDLY AND VERY HELPFUL!

Loved this casino/resort and will be back. They only provide 2 towels which kind of sucked for us as it was my 3 boys and me but otherwise the only other noticeable thing was the broken down elevator all weekend closest to the pool and our room.

I enjoy the amenities and will come back again. Hopefully next time they’ll replace the maraschino cherries with a good dark cherries that you use in an old-fashioned. I had dinner at the fine dining restaurant L VK. It was hard to get a reservation yet. No one was really there when I arrived it was puzzling that the host has tried to see me beside the door when there were so many other tables available I requested away from the door and was moved My waiter was charming. He took time to understand my questions and I appreciated his help. The casino was very clean. I just wish there was more waitresses coming around offering drink drinks.
