Spacious, great parking Our room has peeling paint on the ceiling in the bathroom. It also had a HUGE cobweb with aTON of dust on it. With all that dust on it… it had been there a while. Our supper in the mahogany bar had a lot to be desired. The food was cold and took FOREVER. I felt bad for our server. He was one of two that seemed to be working and he was running his butt off. It seemed they were bringing food from another kitchen to fulfill their orders

The casino and restaurants were fabulous We booked for the towers and ended up in the lodge . The room reeked, was musty and there was mold everywhere . The hall ways and common areas were filthy

    Very rude Staff!

The handle of the drawers were ready to fall off and missing screws. The shower was limed up and need to be cleaned. The sink needed a good scrubbing. But what really ticked me off was the Facility or Resort Fee that you charge when you check out. You hide in the details. That's Misleading! Put it in the price like Holiday Inn and the Hampton Inn. Be competitive. I will not be back.

"The hotel surpassed all my expectations! The staff was welcoming, the room was clean, and the view was splendid."

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Staff was wonderful. The room had an unpleasant smell.

We called days ahead for our Sunday stay and the front desk associate stated that our stay, with tax, would be around $90. Day of arrival when we went to check in, the front desk attendant was rude and stated that the room would be $190. With our plans already in place, we had to stay there, so I looked on booking and found a room there at $130. The miscommunication started our trip off on the wrong foot and the front desk could care less. Room smelled musty and sour. Old food/trash left outside of rooms for majority of our stay. Just overall a poor experience and I wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel is GORGEOUS! The rooms are beautiful and the amenities are wonderful. I loved the casino (it didnt love me) and the restaurants on site were very good as well. My ONLY complaint was the nasty old lady working the late shift at the check in counter. I did not get her name but she was so awful, rude and miserable her coworker Kylie however.. she was a sweetheart and working her butt off still remained kind and helpful even when the nasty lady snapped at her for asking a question

Employee at the food court didn’t understand what we were asking about. Need to get better help. That was asked about before we ordered our food. Did not understand that I was asking about how big the slices of pizza were. How do you not understand that simple question. No receipt given also. Why do you have to ask for a receipt?

Bed was very comfortable. Room to far from casino, slot machines were old and outdated.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

The Paint was peeling off the ceiling. The toilet is leaking. The restaurants are closed during the week or open later for lunch, so difficult to get breakfast. The old part of the hotel definitely needs some upkeep. If you’re planning on staying at the mountaineer, I would recommend requesting the newer part of the hotel. We’re just staying down the road at the Wyngate.

Asked for a handicap room. Was told at the front desk it wasn’t a handicap room and none were available. In order for my mother to use the restroom we had to use the public ones in the hotel. Bed was too high and I had to lift her on to the bed. We were in what was called the lodge away from the three other families we were with who were in the main hotel. Bathroom was dirty, hallways needed swept, and the room smelled like chlorine. View of parking lot.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Beds were comfortable and the showers had good pressure and lots of hot water. The cost was also reasonable. The room was very dirty: blue bed cover was clearly dirty, bathroom floor had dark long hair in multiple spots, cobwebs in bathroom, carpets not swept and hallways not swept. Less expensive rooms are expected to be fancy or renovated, but they surely can be clean and all lamps should have light bulbs. Very disappointing!

The hot tub u say is a hot tub is a cold tub and the room was very out dated

Very clean room, very funny casino. Only downfall was I got a handicap room for my grandma and the room was at the end of the hall.

    Spacious room and close accommodations

    Exceptional

The bathroom door had some splatter on it that was a little gross. Staffed were very friendly and helpful with questions except for the customer service lady who was rude when I was signing up for the membership card. Vicki the bartender was welcoming and fun. Spa could have had some water or tea sitting out in the open area. Cindy, the massage therapist was amazing.

Rooms were terribly dirty. Called to hopefully change rooms. Was told they were short staffed and I wasn’t the first caller to say this. They send the cleaners to come clean it but we declined. It would take them an hour to clean up that room.
