Candlewood Suites Avondale - New Orleans by IHG

We stayed at this property due to its close proximity to TPC Golf. We found the hotel staff friendly and the rooms were clean. We were delighted they had free laundry facilities.

Quiet place. Felt safe

We had a few minor issues but Victoria was amazing through it all. She went above and beyond to fix any problems. She even made my kids popcorn late at night. The 2 ladies in the morning were very welcoming & super friendly. I don’t know their names. We had a good stay. GREAT STAFF!!!

Great staff, pretty clean, cute, and good location. Bathroom could have been cleaned more carefully, specially around the door handle.

We arrived in the evening, the entire lobby smelled like marijuana. The room had no ice bucket, the latch to lock the door was broken and didn’t work, and remote didn’t work for the tv most of the time. The room was hot even with the ac on the lowest setting. The staff was very friendly though.

Good location. Not in a busy area and easy access to stores, grocery, and downtown New Orleans is only 15 minutes away BAD: The wifi was horrible and utterly useless. It kept dropping and when it was connected it was slow. The gym and laundry area was very dirty. Dead bugs, dirty laundry. It seemed like no one paid attention to that. Overall it was a good stay. I would stay again. But to get five stars, the BAD items need to be addressed.

We enjoyed the staff especially April. She made us feel welcomed and she was just all around lovely. She helped us get around town and when we come back we definitely will be staying there. Nothing bad to say at all

it was a very clean room but the ice machine didn’t work and they knew it didn’t work and said nothing. the reason i know they knew was because maintenance decide to come in the room the next morning by just unlocking the door and walking in without knocking seeing my wife undressed.

April and Keisha were amazing! They were very sweet and helpful.

Keisha was phenomenal!!!! She was kind and attentive! 10 out of 10 employee! She needs a raise! The phone didn't work, the tv remote didn't work. The bath soap is out. There was no blanket for the fold out couch.

We were in town for the Zurich Classic and the Candlewood Suites could not have been more convenient. The hotel was well maintained. The snack shop/necessities store next to the lobby came in handy. Will definitely stay there again for the 2027 Zurich Classic.
