Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham New Ulm

Clean room, safe parking, cordial staff, good breakfast.

The rooms were very clean and modern.

Also, shower head would not stay up, but would only aim at the wall, so you had to pick up the shower attachment to rinse off.

The hot tub was hot but the whirlpool did not work and the bathroom pool area was unkept . But we did like to be able to wash off out of the pool . Breakfast was food but nothing special. There was open containers that were definitely not up to food service standards sitting out .

Everything was super clean and well kept

There was know one at the property to check my 2 daughters in that traveled from Maine for a celebration of life. I had to call and a woman instructed me to tell them to go to the desk and get the key out of a basket full of keys. When the girls got to their room it smelled musty, cigarette smell, blankets where yellowed. The sheets were a blue fuzzy blanket with particles on it! Windows fogged over with mold. If it is a self service hotel it should be advertised as that!!! I would have never booked there if I knew that. What if something went wrong in the room, what if power was lost, what if you needed a fresh towel or whatever! There also was another gentleman that was there saying he was scammed and not happy as well!

Room smelt like cigarettes. Paid for a queen room but received a double. Had to clean the AC filters they were filthy. Room was way over priced. Breakfast was poor but coffee was good.

Rooms were clean. Cleaning lady was wonderful. The hot tub was warm not hot. Brought it up to 2 fifferent dtaff and both said there is nothing they can do because general manager wasnt there and i asked if they could get ahold of him they said no.

The gal at the desk was nice but didn't know anything. Every time I asked the answer was I don't know. The breakfast wasn't very good. I will be in New Ulm, MN in September but won't be coming to this hotel and won't recommend it.

Staff Hot tub Parking

Good location Bathroom had orange slimy mold on tub caulk. Black mold on caulk around water knob in shower. The room smelled like a mixture of urine and mildew

Hot tub was not working, ran out of kleenex in the room, we chose this motel mainly for the hot tub and it was not functioning

I have a husband in a wheelchair. There are no automatic or button operated doors to enter the building. The room was accessible though.

Our room was dirty (floors, walls, bedding). I had to ask for clean sheets as there was black stuff all over one of the beds. They asked that I strip the bed, bring the bedding down, and then they gave me clean bedding for ME to replace. The fridge in the room was dirty, the freezer had a ton of ice build up (definitely needs a good defrost!). They only give you two towels/washcloths even if you have 4 people. You have to ask to get more. The faucet on the tub was not attached, but it still worked. The hot tub's water was brown when we arrived. However, while we were there, a child (not ours) pooped in the hot tub and as soon as we told staff, they drained it/cleaned it right away. As for breakfast, they have sausage patties and hard boiled eggs in Tupperware in the fridge. When I went down today, there was no creamer for coffee (there was the day before) and no milk. After seeing how dirty the facilities were (halls/rooms), my family chose to go to McDonald's for breakfast, even though we specifically chose this place due to the free breakfast. We do not recommend this hotel at all!

Location was great, Applebee's was across the parking lot, there was a store across the street gas station near by and a laundry mat down the road. Hot tub didn't work.But things happen.

Skip breakfast not good coffee will never stay with them again

Bathroom tub dirty

The receptionist argued with me what type of cc I was using like I didn’t know what I have. The hot tub was empty. The shower handle no matter where you set in dropped to the bottom so the option was burning hot or super cold. The breakfast hours are posted on the wall and there was hot chocolate and coffee no food whatsoever over an hour after it was supposed to start. The walls are super thin and you hear everything from the rooms around you.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is fine but very basic.
