Nice resort, friendly staff, comfortable room. Make sure to bring groceries if want to dine in, the nearest shop is 20 minutes driving in Bethel.

Beautiful wonderful place off beaten path

Always a good place to stay.

It was beyond what I expected, I even got to see the northern lights after I hiked. The room was beautiful. Everything about the place was wonderful.

Very nice staff, the northern lights cafe was ok but wouldn’t plan for an actual meal. Clean in general BUT our bathroom clearly didn’t get finished, the tub was full of hair.

Beautiful hotel with gorgeous views. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Loved the outdoor fire pit and pool/hot tub area. 10/10 would stay again.

Very quiet and beautiful, nice hiking trail right behind the hotel!

We stayed for two nights and had a great time. We stayed in a suite with a kitchenette. It was a very long walk down to the end of the building. I was just recovering from a knee injury so the walk from a far away parking lot and then all the way down the end of the building was not ideal. I did tell the receptionist I just came off crutches so not sure why she put me in the farthest room possible? Next time, I will request a room closer to the pool and gym entrance. There also is very little signage so finding everything was difficult to navigate. The restaurant was closed both times we went downstairs to eat so we had to grab food at the cafe. It was grab and go and very expensive. The pool area and hot tubs were wonderful and the kids enjoyed them. It was relaxing and quiet and much cheaper than renting a VRBO in that area. I prefer a house rental but the prices are out of control.

Nice place, spectacular views

This was a good location for my conference at Sunday River. The facility still seems new, and all the systems--wifi, plumbing, TV, bed/sheets/pillows, tables, etc--were in great shape. Interestingly, my studio room came with kitchen. The surrounding area is beautiful, by the way. I saw family of seven deer cross the road near the hotel. The pool looked nice, but now that it's fall the outside temperature was too low to go for a swim.

The hotel itself is excellent, and we really enjoyed our stay. The only area that could use improvement is the restaurant. The prices were quite high, while the portions were very small, and unfortunately, the food quality did not meet our expectations. Overall, it’s a great place to stay, especially for families. With some improvements to the restaurant, the experience would be even better!

The room we stayed in was okay but the bathroom was not very clean with hair and urine stains on the bottom of the toilet. We bought it to the attention of the girl at the front desk and all she said was “sorry, I’ll mention it to the manager “ We’ve been staying at the resort for over 25 years and it is slowly becoming run down. It use to to be beautiful years ago but no longer is worth the money.

We were delighted with the very warm and friendly staff. Nothing was too much to ask of them. Outdoor "campfire" complete with marshmallows to roast was one of many special touches. The pool and hot tubs were great, as well as the sauna and steam room. The fitness equipment was clean. I enjoyed a massage at the Spa with Birch. We'd like to mention staff that really stood out in the field of hospitality: Eli, Delaney and Autumn at the front desk could not have been more helpful with suggestions and directions to key spots. Housekeeping standouts were Laurie and Benedict who were very personable and genuine in their desire for our stay to be gold standard which it was. Finally the restaurant at the Golf Club just a short drive away was fantastic. We couldn't stay longer.

We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel, but went to the golf club down the road…which had great food, but just not a very big menu. We wished you had a restaurant in the hotel.
