Old Stone Inn Boutique Hotel

The staff are so friendly and helpful! Love the outdoor space Why is parking so expensive?! And everything seems to come with an added fee.

The location was nice. It wasn’t too far to walk to the attractions and restaurants. The photos are misleading. The photographed area is quite adorable. However, the lobby, dining room and cafe are the only real updated areas. It’s kinda like the old saying about lipstick on a pig. Like the pool area looks amazing from the photos, but in reality the pool itself is in dire need of reglazing- the interior of the pool is peeling off. The halls are hot, musty and it was like a maze getting to our room. Definitely not handicapped friendly. Our room was again like a diy upgrade. The grout in the tile bathroom literally fell out while we were there. The towels and sheets were itchy. I found 2 dead bugs and one live bug on our bed. The pillows were so big and hard I ended up rolling up my son’s blanket and used that. I absolutely hated staying there but had no other option since we booked on booking.com and couldn’t get a refund. I feel like many of these reviews must be friends because there is no way I would give this motel a 10.

Decent location to walk to the casino and surrounding amenities. Parking lot was close and easy access to the room. Our room was damp and smelt musty. Minimal amenities, not enough towels. Overall the room was old and dingy and needs an upgrade soon.

I felt that there was no value as there was a large parking charge for an empty lot and an uncharge in the dining room for a bad cocktail The room did not have a chair to read in - only a desk chair Clothing from a previous guest were left in a drawer very cute little shop selling coffee did not open until 8:00 Overall, not a great experience and a feeling of being overcharged

The property was very quaint. The decor was beautiful. The bed was comfortable. It was a short walk to downtown and the falls, although it is a hill to walk up on the way back from the falls. Their ‘heated’ pool was far from heated. The front desk insisted it was at the property temperature, despite multiple guests complaining about how cold it was. It should not be listed as a heated pool because it was extremely cold, where even the kids wouldn’t go in. Room is listed to have a balcony, but you can’t open the door. The ‘balcony’ was about 6 inches. The curtains were attached to the wall in such a way that you couldn’t move them out of the way to enjoy the view from the window. The water pressure in the shower was not great and no refrigerator in the room. Parking was $40 per day, which was not listed in the description. There is a parking lot next door which offered overnight parking for $10.

The value , ambience and entertainment Heat in stairwell

Our room was on top of the pool and so noisy, our phone didn’t work in the room, in room technology was very dated - old speaker with no Bluetooth. The lampshades were very dirty (black stains over white shades) and some of our electrical outlets were covered in tape suggesting to not use them. The room has potential but did not match the price we paid. Very overpriced.

The breakfast that was included was over the top. The boutique atmosphere of the dining room is fantastic. The smell of chlorine from the indoor swimming pool.

Unique, beautiful furnishings to match the history. Chef Drew and his food creativity rivals the best foods and chefs in any great restaurant, anywhere. Between Drew & Rosie, a long time server, they both bring a lively & delicious experience to each table. Nothing. We grew to appreciate it every night we chose to stay.

Staff was wonderful! Had a great breakfast at the restaurant! Had to request towels every day. Had to request tissues. Beds only made once.

Breakfast disappointed. $32 for a quite blah Eggs Bennie.

Loved the unique and comfortable atmosphere with may sitting areas to enjoy.

The location was great, perfectly in between Clifton Hill, and where Niagara takes flight and other sites are. I checked in and for 20 minutes housekeeping kept opening and closing the door ( the room was clean their was no reason) and then while changing opened the door and kept it open for a solid min until I told them to close it as I am in the middle of changing and had zero clothes on. ...... why they kept trying to come in ... unknown... I was upset and also didn't want to then leave my belongings in the room because I could not understand why they kept trying to come in when the room was clean and checked in, and that someone opened the door and left it open while standing in the door way while I was completely undressed. When I went down the front desk said they would talk to house keeping but that was it ...... it left me with no desire to ever stay again.... so being seen naked by a stranger who was an employee and the worry of leaving my belongings in the room with what felt like hardly an issue taken care of .... left me with no desire to ever stay again.

The location was excellent, and the reservation staff was very friendly and helpful. The smell of chlorine from the pool was very strong and spread throughout the hallways. The fan coil unit was very noisy, especially at night. Also, there were no complimentary bottles of water .provided in the room.

I like that it was within walking distance of pretty much everything. It was very clean with excellent staff. I love the smell of the lobby. I also loved there was a nesspresso in the room although you are only given 2 pods per day. I didnt like that we HAD to walk everywhere because nothing was affordable on site and the extra charges were out of hand. $40 for parking per night when it's literally located in the middle of a concrete oasis of unused parking lot was rude and just put a very sour feel on the stay and will discourage me from choosing this hotel again. I also was charged extra for the second child and again for the rollaway. I knew of these ahead of time but just more charges. Then you have the restaurant and patio and bakery. All of these were VERY cute but way too expensive to take a family of 4 to. So we had to go off site anyway. No bakery was really close but there is a very cute one down the road.
