Beautiful surroundings, great location! Walk to restaurants, walk across the street to Mass Moca. Walking trails nearby. Cute swimming pool. Will definitely stay again.
-
Great & comfortable place, good staff. Free (simple) breakfast! A pool, hot tub. And the incredible Mass Moca right there. Our second time here, & we’ll be back.

Breakfast was very good and a great location

Unique place. Very comfortable bed and clean. Great location right behind MassMOCA

Very cool accommodations with the Mass MOCA museum just out the door. Clean and attractive, and comfy with a decent buffet breakfast. We came for a concert in Studio 9, which is on the property, and it could not have been more pleasant and convenient!

Proximity to museum and the architecture are interesting. I really disliked that my room had a Murphy bed for no reason. It was very difficult to pull down, and also meant that I had to make my own bed, which is just the bare minimum you expect at a hotel. It was a poor use of space in the room for no reason, too close to the wall, no real end tables, and very high off the ground. The room was quite large so this “space saver” was just a silly design and would have been very uncomfortable for 2 people. The staff was unfriendly and seemed troubled by any question I asked at check in. Then my shower flooded after a short time in the shower and I had to stop showering to prevent the rest of room from flooding because the very modern shower design had no threshold protecting the rest of the bathroom or bedroom floor. There are no internal phones and no direct number to the hotel was provided. I called the only number on their website and it took me to an AI reservation service. My room was a walk from the front desk so I just had to make do getting ready rather than get any help from the hotel.

So charming, so lovely. It exceeded our expectations and very much hope to return!

Everything was wonderful at porches. I love the special antique charm. Loved breakfast. The fresh berries were the best. The staff was attentive and helpful. I really loved the claw foot tub and rain shower head. I can’t wait to return.

I loved it all! Great location, really nice staff, beautiful property.

Uneven stay. Conveniently located. Hard to locate the correct parking. Nice breakfast. Uppity atmosphere. Other guests looked very annoyed that there were children taking up space in the breakfast room. And when I pointed out to the front desk that the minibar prices / menu in my room were not visible, nor was the minibar locked, that was all somehow an egregious fault on my part, rather than "thanks for your honesty and patronage." So, lots of lovely things, and the ego of knowing they're the only nice place in town.

Uniquely designed to maintain character of the old timey structures yet very modern.
-
It's a lovely property and the staff is wonderful.
-
Staying at room 26,our concern was using the steep and narrow steps staircase
-
And perhaps most importantly it’s a short walk to Mass MoCA!
-
A charming place. Insufficient parking since there was a wedding on site.

Loved my room, staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast included delicious bagels and lox. I hope to return, though I will specifically ask to not stay in the building that houses reception. It’s an historic building so not soundproofed, and I could hear every guest checking in and out, and all the sounds from the kitchen during breakfast hours - it was just a little noisy for me.

Very beautiful hotel! The room was very clean.

Absolutely loved our room #26 in the Blue Building. The sauna was great, met really nice people who were also from Boston and going to THATH concert at MassMoCA, which was a 7 minute walk. The lobby bar and library are very quaint along with the entire interior. The breakfast was awesome. Fresh Lox & scrumptious bagels there fresher baked. We highly recommend
