Holiday Inn Norwich by IHG

The restaurant is really a local hangout with loud music not a place to bring your kids too. Pool area did not have towels. Not my favorite stay at a hotel.

The room was clean. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel is a bit outdated/in need of some work. The staff were very friendly and nice. Staff were great with my children. I will say I was very disappointed that we didn’t get a cookie at check or free breakfast like noted on the hotels summary. My kids were looking forward to breakfast at the hotel and the restaurant was unexpectedly closed for two mornings and staff did not know why.

Iron was broken and water spilled all over our clothes, bathroom had pink mold and there was hair in the corner of the floor that was not ours, the shades couldn’t be closed so there was no privacy and you could hear everything through the walls.

The room itself was fair, but it felt very muggy even with the AC running. The bathroom vent was noticeably covered in dust and dirt, which made the room feel like it could have been cleaner. The room was also extremely dark, even with all of the lights turned on. Another issue was the breakfast. When I booked the room, the details indicated that breakfast was included, but I was charged an additional $32 for the breakfast buffet. Unfortunately, the buffet was not fully stocked, and the employee working there seemed bothered and was not very helpful. Food was not replenished until what was already sitting out was gone, which was frustrating considering the price I paid. The hotel was also very noisy and chaotic. There were children running throughout the hotel without supervision, playing in the elevators, running up and down the hallways, and using profanity. It made the atmosphere uncomfortable and took away from the overall experience. For one night, it was bearable, but based on my experience, I would not choose to stay here again.

There was no blackout curtains in the room was wide awake at 5am

The hotel had a restaurant / bar / pool tables which was cool. Very close to the casino with a shuttle. Nice and relaxing not having to worry about driving home.

Great people great personalities

Staff was amazing and helpful. Tried to check me in either but the system couldn’t. Stinks you can’t check in earlier than 4. Wi-Fi wouldn’t couldn’t and when it almost did the page crashed. TVs are not modern only have live direct tv. Shower was great and had amazing pressure. Room overall really clean and would stay again just upgrade WiFi and tv.

Would stay here again

The pool was the highlight of the hotel. It was warm and open. I only saw a buffet style breakfast although the restaurant is advertised to be open early. The bar and where I expected to be able to get food was open after midnight on Wednesday, but closed by 9 on Thursday. I had to order food delivered instead. The room was worn. The floor was bumpy under the rug. The bathroom sink stopper was not connected and the faucet leaked on the counter. The shower needs work. Overall, the desk staff was nice and the place is kind of lacking maintenance and upgrades for a long time.

Shuttle service is the best amenitie you offer amd the desk ladies were very pleasant

The tv remote was hard to turn on and off , the people before us most likely had the same problem because it was unplugged when we got there. The bathroom tub had paint falling off inside by the drain. For the most part it a good stay , right off the highway to casinos and the beach, which is a good thing .

The location was great. Staff was wonderful. Bed very comfortable and the A/C was working perfectly. Room was a little tired.

This hotel was clean, beds comfortable. Did not make use of the fitness center or pool. Restaurant and bar on site. Would definately stay again.

The waitress in the restaurant was extremely rude not just to me but my youngest daughter and a friend at a different time when I wasn't with her.

Great amenities, attentive staff, and excellent location.

Staff was very helpful. Other than that it was pretty bad. Got 2 rooms and had to switch out of the first room for both for multiple reasons. Room was dirty and sticky. A/c was leaking and had the floor soaked. My kids kept getting wet. Just an overall bad experience would def pay more for a better newer hotel

There was stains all over the bed , and also the wall. The staff was decent.
