Studio 6 – Oakland, CA – San Francisco Berkeley Area

There was hair in the moldy shower. A comb in my son’s bed. Eyelashes all over my pillowcase. The bed had a huge dent on one side. The floor made our feet black and I kept washing the floor while we were there. There was food in the fridge. Black dirty fingerprints on the washcloth, black mold in the shower base which was broken. The door had to have your whole body force to open or close it. It was hugging the floor so hard. I couldn’t get the tv to show me any channels that worked. There was some brown substance on the shower wall and another something brown. The sheets and pillow cases were really old and had old hair and bits of stuff on them. The bathroom had a ac unit where you stand to see the mirror, and the light was behind you so makeup and seeing what you were doing were out of the question. The mattresses were hard as a rock. There were cobwebs everywhere and no one has ever wiped the ac off. Nail polish on the side table super easy to take off with remover. The coffee machine was filled with old coffee grounds. I washed the towels at the laundry mat, and bought sheets. Pet fee was as much as the room, and I think it’s dried dog poop by my bed. I cleaned the floor so many times. Never seen a more nasty room in my life. Staff was nice. Next day she brought towels, but the big long dark hair remained and the maybe poop on the shower wall. Floors still gross. Defiantly didn’t clean it before we got there. Smelt like tons of fabuloso,but noting clean.

I was in the most disgusting roach infested hair covered moldy room. I could not have imagined such levels of disgusting if I had tried. The staff was extremely rude and acted like a request for toilet paper was a crime. The poor housekeeper was obviously abused to the point of illegal harassment. There was dead roaches and live roaches everywhere. The walls covered in filth. The floors sticky and black with grime. The linens smelled, had holes, were covered in hair. The room was in shambles with needed repairs everywhere and cigarette burns every inch of every surface. I am traumatized and I was unable to leave due to disability. Otherwise I would have packed my things and left the minute I walked in the door.

Expedia needs to mention the $20/dog pet fee on the first page. Not on the second page.

Got bites

Not a lot. It’s in an economically depressed area, it’s got a full-sized refrigerator in the bathroom (yikes), and it’s right across the street from another such property. Not impressed. See above. Seriously, a refrigerator IN THE BATHROOM.

The place reeked of tobacco smoke. It seemed as if someone was chain smoking inside the room, it was that bad. I actually checked the front and back of the property to see if someone was smoking outside of my room. There was no one. I aired the room out for 3 hours and the smell did not even slightly go away. I contacted the manager: who refuse to go to the room and get a firsthand idea of what I was experiencing, I asked for a copy of my complaint, and he told me that he had nothing to write it down on. I plan to call the department of health. I cannot allow this to stand Nothing
