Hilton Garden Inn Orange Beach Beachfront

The lazy river was the star of the show. My view of the pool and the beach were the best part of my stay. Unfortunately my tv nor the internet was working in the room we were assigned. When I reported that to the front desk on the first day I was told they would send maintenance to check on it. No one ever came. My ac took the whole entire night to cool off the room. We were miserable. I reported it again on day two and was informed that unfortunately my room was one of the rooms that had been having satellite issues and maintenance was already aware of that and for my inconvenience I would be accommodated the $10 parking fee. $10!! So they knew that when checking us in and could’ve given us other options. My 3 & 6yr old autistic kids can not handle no tv nor internet service at the same time. Therefore my husband and I decided to check out the next day & go to another hotel. On a holiday weekend that room was a very high rate. We did not mind paying for what we wanted but unfortunately we were inconvenienced instead. Which resulted in us having to kick out more $ on another room. Honestly I feel we should have at least been offered to move to another room after 4pm before they checked in new arrivals. Because I spoke to the front desk early that morning.

This hotel has serious maintenance issues. One of two elevators did not work. Carpets were dirty in the hallways, elevator and room. We had to wear flip flops in the rooms to keep our feet off the carpet. They scented the room so the underlying scent was somewhat covered. There was mold in the caulking in the shower. The lights between the beds did not work but flickered all night long. Would not recommend.

Hopefully when you go visit they have both elevators going; if not, plan to wait 20 minutes to be able to get on the elevator or be prepared to use the stairs. This was hard to deal with having a handicap child. Ice machine was broken, so had to use the stairs to go to another floor to obtain ice. They also charge $10+tax a day for parking. Breakfast is also varies in pricing. If it wasn’t for the balcony/ocean view this hotel would be below average in rating. Not enough umbrellas/chairs to use at the pool. Better claim a spot early if you want to enjoy the pool area.

I love that it's beach front and we took advantage of the lazy river pool. Loved the live music featuring, Just Roger. This is my 2nd time here and it's an ideal location.

Has fleas

Location was great. Easy access to the beach. Staff is great. Shout to Jordan for always being so friendly and having a smile. Also to Chris, I believe he's with maintenance, he wished us a safe trip home and I thought that was so sweet of him.

We disliked the gym since both the treadmill and bike were broken. Also having the elevator broken made it difficult to get to our room quickly each day, at one point both elevators were down and climbing stairs to the 6th floor was not enjoyable.

Loved my stay I will be back very soon!!!

The bar outside was severely understaffed.. impossible to order

The pool and the bartenders were the only 5 stars there. The room was way overpriced for what it was, I didn’t get credit on Hilton honors by booking directly with them, they tried to charge for parking and WiFi which is included at every hotel I’ve every stayed at. There were roaches in our room. The shower was so loud that are friends could hear it 7 doors down. The room was suppose to sleep 5 and it only had 2 queens. The elevator has been broken for over 10 years according to the friends that were with us and stayed there 10 years ago and said it was broke then too. There was no complimentary breakfast and for that price, should have been no charge. The bottles in the shower were empty. They gave us 3 towels at a time even though we had 5 people. I guess they acted like we were suppose to share or we would steal one. We will not be back to a Hilton hotel.

Amazing property and staff. Will definitely stay here again. One of my new favorites!!!

Nice staff

The hallways were worn (walls and carpet) weren’t up to what I consider Hilton standard. Room was nice. Unexpected surprise was the lazy river. I spent a couple late afternoons just floating around. It was amazing. Only 1 elevator in service was a MAJOR inconvenience even when checking in at 10 pm. I had to wait 10 minutes for an elevator.

The room was dated and could have been cleaner. The view was beautiful and great to be on the beach. Also had to pay 10 per day for parking.

Nice hotel for the price, right on the beach and room was huge with a balcony beach view. The pool was amazing with the lazy river feature! The elevators (only one was working) were the worst feature, they were very slow and took forever, thankfully we were on the second floor and usually just took the stairs. Staff was accommodating and friendly. The lobby was clean and had room to sit or have a drink at their little bar. Breakfast was served daily. I would stay here again.

The view was amazing as we had a balcony overlooking the gulf. The bathroom was good. The room had worn nightstand and sitting chair that was missing leather on it.

Everything was very nice except only had 1 elevator.working the entire time of my stay. Ive never known a hotel not offer a complimentary breakfast to its current residents of time of days staying. Then it was 18 bucks for breakfast buffet when it had all the basic items. Grits eggs bacon sausage biscuits. They charge 10.dollars a day for parking like I had a choice to park anywhere else for free. Other than these 3 things Everything else was great. If they could adjust those things out that place would be my go to place every year.
