Everything was great

The room was huge, the bathroom was spotless and very spacious, and we had direct access to the pool from our room.

Everything was fine until a lady from housekeeping knocked on my door at 9AM asking me when I was leaving when the check out was not until 10 AM. She knocked and then vanished or was hiding and I opened the door and kept announcing who's there who's there and then she appeared and basically asked me to leave! Not cool. Also, Mo is gone from the property so things are not what they once were and the free coffee is also gone from the lobby! Chef ROLF is taking ownership of everything slowly but surely and we love him for it. The property for some reason is a magnet for cigarette smokers and we cigar lovers hate that! I stay here a bit when I am in town selling cigars at events.

Absolutely beautiful place and their breakfast is amazing!

Confusing hotel. The outside and reception looks new, clean, and inviting. The staff were friendly. The problem was the rooms. It looks like they spent all of their money on the outside and reception and did not have money for the actual rooms or have money to pay staff to clean them. Our room had fingerprints on the windows, mirrors, doors (black fingerprints on the white doors). No curtain, only part of a window shade that covered about 2/3 of the window which made it impossible to sleep with the light from the parking lot and then the sun in the morning. The room had a leaking AC unit and debris in the AC vent. The wall had some drink spill stains. Finally, the shower had call kinds of mold stains and soap scum in the drain. Seems like the cleaning staff just makes the bed and takes out the trash and does nothing else with the room and there is no maintenance team.

I was shocked! The pictures shown on the website are totally not true, well maybe for some areas. I had an awful experience for the price, in just getting to the room located in the back of the building was dirty as if it was catered for the homeless, and so was the room. With the qualities I upheld for myself I had to turn around in the middle of the night and booked the Carlisle Inn. It was a good thing I had insurance when I booked my stay. I was able to get my money back! The Owners need to fix the place. Specially the A/C with Ants crawling out of it definitely needs to be replaced with a new one, the light fixture was rusty and needed to be thrown out!! It was awful. I strongly believe the homeless individuals deserves better!!

My initial room had a locking issue and the front desk staff was wonderful in moving me to a different room. There was an easy to use safe provided in the room, it was clean and well maintained. Staff was wonderful, and my stay was great.

The property and the room were not clean. The bathroom is a little dirty.

- to many people for the loungers, no loungers available, and there was plenty of room for more. Also pool towels were not restocked, none available - Musicians: the guitar guy was good; the piano guy used background vocals to know where he was in the song and didn’t know the words -Tiki bar staff were understaffed for a holiday weekend and empty food trays just sat around on lounger tables. There were no trash cans in pool area & people just left their trash everywhere. I actually picked up trash around the pool and brought it up to bar staff - restaurant didn’t offer a special menu for the holiday - King room had plenty of room however the bathroom has a pedestal sink so there no room to lay out your toiletries Maybe I just expected more for the money spent.

Our stay was okay at best. Not what we expected. The outdoor pool area is not big enough for so many people. Our was clean however had no toilet paper and body soap. Called front desk and the sent someone over with toilet paper. Once we used the shower, we were bathing in 2 inches of water due to a clog. Let the front desk know. Maintenance never came.

We had a lovely time. The beds and pillows were very comfortable . The only thing is you need different window treatments no blockage from sun light or street lights hard to sleep with the lights coming though.

Amazing! Make me feel relax! When you hear locals that they love the place, you know it will be great! Definitely coming back with the family!

I went in booked with a balcony room by the pool and put in expedia i have a pet. When i get to the hotel i am told they were not aware of my pet and that the rooms by the pool with patio or balcony are not the pet friendly rooms. I was then given a room in another building with no patio or balcony no quick access to the pool or pool bar. The flooring in the pet friendly room had tile plank flooring coming up at the seams. The front desk did say since i was given a diffrent room i was saving money but the money i saved went to my pet stay.

The room was clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is conveniently located between Venice and Siesta Key.

Everything was good but my a/c was not working well and I called twice and got nothing I love this place but a/c not working well in the summer not a good thing
