We had the best stay here for Coachella weekend! The staff was so friendly and even gave us a welcome Coachella gift bag and drinks in our room. Would definitely stay here again.

Its retro, nice common area game room, office area gives you sunscreen, seltzer waters, hot tub and sauna very nice, pool cool this time of year, room was large, fridge good sized, nice TV set up and couch, table and chairs. Bathrooms could use update.

Quiet location, small number of rooms. Lawn and landscaping are tended well. Prompt delivery of bath towels when requested. Very comfortable king size bed. Property is in need of basic maintenance and upkeep. Paint peeling in several areas. The front door used to enter the property with a code did not give me a sense that it would stop someone from getting in with a strong push. Bathroom walls were all filled with cracking paint. Window sill in shower showed black mold type substance. Staying for 6 days with only one set of bath towels required is to call for more.

Nice pool, hot tub, and sauna. property grounds were well maintained. room was nice. Pipes are old and turning on the shower required letting it run a minute for a bit of rust to come out before you hop in. Mostly quiet occumpants, but there was a weird drew there one night that commandered the pool deck to do repairs on their dirt bikes. Comfortable bed/pillows. Three tesla chargers on site.

This hotel is a beautiful time capsule from the 60's, don't come here expecting a modern, perfectly kept place. The room was massive and gorgeous, our shower was essentially in a sunroom and it was the coolest experience of my life. The pool was heated to the literal perfect temperature, I've never been in a pool that's been this temperature before. It was amazing. The hot tub and sauna and cold plunge were just the cherry on top. I can't wait to return again to this piece of history.

Their room was excellent. The vicinity was quiet and the staff were very helpful. All of the amenities were as described or better.

There is nothing but Palms Springs aesthetic that is appealing about this property but it is poorly designed (think cheap thrift store furnishing). HORRIBLE. I would never stay here again. Firstly there it is a property that is not managed by personnel. No staff. Auto entry which is fine but they failed to send directions to enter prior to arrival, even though the payment was collected 3 days before arri

no staff on site, but i loved my room and the location.

THE absolute cutest hotel in Palm Springs! It felt like our home away from home. The staff was extremely friendly and very responsive to any messages. Will be staying here again in the future.

felt very cheap

Everything was great, except the locks took a couple of try’s to work

The room had a noticeable unpleasant odor. I can tolerate old, but this had a nursing home/urine type smell. I was looking forward to my stay here based on the pictures, the grounds are nice, but that's where it ends. Room #2 in addition to the odor, showed signs of neglect. Again, I don't mind old, but scuffs, scrapes, marks on walls can easily be cleaned or painted over. New fixtures that weren't original didn't seem clean. Towels were clean but had stains on them. Furniture, while vintage was peeling apart. A deep cleaning, simple makeover would've easily gotten 5 stars from me and a repeat guest. I get the impression they are doing the least amount of upkeep as possible, and it shows. While my stay wasn't awful, I would try somewhere else.

Secluded. Staff responsive and gracious when I had a question Refrigerator missing shelf. Sprinklers kept sidewalks wet. Staff turned then off as soon as they were made aware. Bathtub slippery. Maybe offer a mat or do some texturing. Would be nice to have a grab bar

The first night we were all alone in the hotel so that was nice. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the room with the kitchen.
-
Nice facilities, especially the sauna and ping pong table. Some of the parasols are in bad shape. The place could use a bit of an updating with some fresh paint. The faucet in the bathroom barely spits out water.

Secluded and relaxing Very dirty on every aspect from the rooms to the amenities

This hotel was amazing! I would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend it to friends and family. Despite of no staff being there all the time we had everything we needed without needed help. They had a grill which we used and all tools were available. They had a game room with a lots of card games, photo booth, karaoke, television, microwave and a refrigerator to store things meanwhile being there. They had a sauna, a cold plunge, hot tub in and nice area. The pool was amazing and clean. Room was clean and well kept. I would definitely stay herw again!

Loved how quiet and secluded it was compared to the other rowdy hotels in Palm Springs There were a little bit of ants walking along the bathroom sink and the Neosporin in the emergency kit expired 3 years ago.
-
Loved that most of the original facade was there. True vintage charm! It was a little rough around the edges, but nothing too bad. Wish it was closer to more restaurants to be able to walk places. But that’s not the property’s fault

Location is ok, but not ideal. General grounds seemed good, and room was decent enough. Avant team members were very responsive to my outreach and concerns about my room. The reason for this low rating is NOT due to the property itself, but rather the inaccurate description provided by Booking.com (NOT the properties fault), which, on its site described the space as a 777 sq ft 1 bedroom apartment with a private pool. I willing paid a premium price for this space given the description, however when I arrived at the property I was placed in room 14. A very standard hotel room, probably closer to 225 square feet. I called Avant and they were very responsive but indicated they don't have any rooms that are 777 square feet, and none of the rooms have a "private pool". Fortunately, they were willing to cancel my booking and a moved to another hotel at a lower price, with a larger room.
