Crowne Plaza Suites Pittsburgh South by IHG

We stayed for a long time -- over two weeks. The front desk was very helpful when we needed some help extending our stay. Dining room staff very friendly. Parking is supper easy and included. Location is central to major shopping, if that's your thing. We found it handy on long stay. Easy access to Mt. Lebanon, Bethel Park, Upper St. Clair.

We had to ask Umang at the front desk to please have a housekeeper clean the room (419) two days in a row. When the housekeeper finally entered the room they did not do a thorough cleaning of the bathroom. They replaced used bath towels. They did not wipe down the sink, the shower, mirror or the floor. No vacuuming during our entire stay and one sheet change the day before our departure. Our experience during this stay at Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh South was different than last year. Last year was excellent. This year all other aspects of the hotel were good and I will probably stay there again.

I requested a clean Keurig machine that was not replaced. The shower handle came off easily and couldn’t be repaired during our stay. The elevator buttons to the 9th floor operated on their own schedule. On the plus side, the reception staff were helpful with a business request.

Breakfast was terrible. First ran out of milk, then cereal, and last 4 mornings no milk in building. Manager did not care and was not going to correct situation. Toilet handle had to be jiggled to stop running. Housekeeping did not change towels unless made to. Nice location, and clean but rates varied so much, as had to book on line to get good rate as hotel could only charge at top rate.

During our three day stay our room was never cleaned; only one trash can was emptied one day. Towels not exchanged, Kieurig not replaced, etc.

This place is by far one of the worst hotels I came across. The rooms are dirty and carpet needs to be changed. The pool is very dirty like hair and debris everywhere. I absolutely regret coming here. I recommend anywhere else!

Very clean and spacious room.

Walls are thin so can be noisy in the morning with the other guests in the rooms beside. A/C is also very noisy. Lots of parking and helpful staff

attention. The furnishings and carpeting in our room were pretty old and stained. It’s obvious that this was once a very nice hotel, it just needs a face lift! But the price was very affordable so it made it a little more understandable.

Very pleasant stay with friendly staff. There were a few minor issues (not enough towels, etc.) that were quickly and cheerfully addressed. It was great to find a room that could accommodate 6 people and that was also per friendly!

We had a great time. Great hotel,however it is really do for some updates !!! Our beds had seen better days & wernt very comfortable. Our room had no microwave? Our room was missing half of the curtain & needed new carpet & and a new paint job. It was nice, just really in need of some TLC. Great location & nice pool.

Area was good. Close to shopping and restaurants. Parking was easy. I was disappointed the room did not have a fridge or microwave. They moved us to a room that had a fridge but no microwave. Icemachie on our floor was out of order so had to go to another floor to get ice.

Nice hotel, lobby coffee shop would be a great addition.

Morgan was stellar at the front desk. Much appreciated.

Great location. The only thing that I didn’t like was that my room had 2 adjoining doors.
