Surfsider Resort

Excellent!!!

The location was great as we were visiting our daughter who lives in the building next door. We had an issue with a leaking toilet in the master bedroom but the staff was quick to have the issue resolved. Friendly girls at the front desk. We found the bed to be incredibly comfortable. Our room was located right next to the pool, which was awesome. We loved the size of the room, it was very spacious and could have comfortably accommodated 4-5 guests. Having a kitchenette was very helpful and it was well equipped. Even had dish towels and dish soap! Large master closet for storage and a nice vanity area for the ladies. Hairdryer included:) Room darkening curtains were a nice touch. Very large , well kept, pool. There was even a very large Weber grill that could be used...sparkling clean! We rated it a 7/10 because the room and the building itself could use some updating. It looks like they might be starting some kind of renovation on the outside, which is good. The unit itself looks like it hasn't been redecorated since the 80s. Updating some of the furniture will make a difference. Our round kitchen table was missing a chunk of Formica. The shelves above the toilets could be replaced as they have chunks missing. The lighting was too dim for us. Some bulbs were "yellow" others were "white". Maybe some sheer curtains would be nice because once the room darkening curtains were open everyone passing by could see in. BUT with that said...we would come back because the location was perfect for us and overall a very nice stay!

This was the second time we've stayed at the Surfsider. The first time was five years ago, in May 2021. Miss Sam took good care of us both times. Camilo & Cinnamon were very accommodating, too. Cinnamon even printed out a map to the Cuban restaurant we were trying out for the first time. This place is a hidden gem. My only complaint was the hot water in the second bathroom wasn't working when I showered but my husband was also showering in the master bath so that probably accounts for it. Other than that, we have no complaints. We will still choose Surfsider next time we go to Florida.

Good location, great staff.

Excellent value 2 bedroom. We really enjoyed it. Staff was great. Pool very nice for motel style resort. Elevator makes some noise but that’s all.

Pool, environment, big rooms

Very clean, cozy and comfortable appartment with a nice view to the canal. Well equipped, with a washer and dryer in the unit, two bathrooms, close to the private beach. Very friendly staff. Spacious and free parking.

Everything was excellent

The only thing I can say about the Surfsider it was clean. We had no hot water in shower in either room. No TV or Wifi. There was no management on staff after 7:00 to bring this attention to. The next morning when we checked out at 8AM we were told the maintenance had worked on issues and forgot to turn water heater back on. Thank goodness we were there for only one night.

Room is very small and very noisy. The bed frame stuck out about a foot from the mattress. My girlfriend banged her shin on it and cut it open. I was expecting a lot more from a new hotel.

Very big and warm pool with sun almost all day. Close to the beach and Publix. Free parking and easy access with car. Good environment to use bicycle or take a jogging session. The living room have a strange placement of furniture, a hideable bed in the middle of the room with the tv on the far side and in the way of entering the bedroom. Also two big couches in the way of accessing the patio. Furniture are a bit dated but overall it's a good apartment.

This was a comfortable and nice vacation. They have private beach acces across the street, the apartment was clean and had everithing that you need away from home. The front desk hours is limited, but they work with your needs. The neightboorhood was very nice and quiet. We really enjoyed our vacation.
