Pointe at Castle Hill Resort

There are two properties, the Castle and the Pointe. I stayed at the Pointe, which is perhaps an entirely different experience. The room was essentially a rebranded 1992 Holiday Inn, complete with a strong smell of stale cigarettes and mildew. By far, the biggest issue for me was the air conditioning. It was August, the room was stifling, and the AC barely blew warm air. A technician reset the condenser, which temporarily fixed it, but I later learned this is an ongoing issue. Around 1 a.m., I woke up sweating. The overnight employee reset it again and brought me a fan upon request. By 4 a.m., I was sweating again and the thermostat showed the room was 12 degrees warmer than the temp it was set at. Other issues included: broken handicap door access, broken ice machine, broken refrigerator that spoiled my coffee creamer, a questionable toilet, a horribly sunken mattress, and no microwave. You have to give your food to them to take in the back, which is so unsanitary. I also found most staff rude, and I witnessed other guests commenting on this as well. Some advice, perhaps don't speak negatively about guests within earshot... I have much more detail but limited characters. Suffice it to say though, I would not stay here again.

First stayed at the Pointe in 2023 and it was an enjoyable stay. Returned this year and our stay did not disappoint. The pool and the hot tub were particularly enjoyable.

The location was surrounded by the mountains and was very beautiful. and close to the little town of Ludlow. The room was very large and gave extra space. the carpeting felt a bit damp, and the bathroom was dated. also the online booking made it seem that there was an outdoor pool when actually the outdoor pool only belonged to the spa and you had to pay money to use

Friendly helpful staff . Easy to find. Well equipped kitchen . I will definitely return the next time I am in the area.

The rooms were huge and beautiful. Very spacious and had everything we needed. The only negative I have is that our hotel key was deactivated 3 times during the stay. They did warn us to keep the key away from magnets, electronics or other credit cards (which is really hard to do) but after the first deactivation happened we were positive it never came close to one of those things after that and it still happened again. So that was a slight inconvenience, however the staff was very helpful about it and a quick trip to the desk and it was solved within seconds each time.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Quiet place well kept. Bed was a little soft but doable. The pool area was very clean. Would stay there again.

Great price comfy beds

Nice place overall. I would suggest adding a microwave to the rooms as eating options are not close by other than the excellent dinners at the Castel itself.

This place overall was very nice ,except the air conditioner in both our rooms did not function well no matter what it was set on it didn't cool the room. I'm sure they will have maintenance look at it. Otherwise it was very nice.

I booked the room and it was paid for. I went to check in but I had lost my credit card and they refused to let me stay. They will not return my money almost $200. Not right!

Everything was great

For the price, the value was exceptional in that everything was clean, well kept, and quiet, and the staff who welcomed us was courteous and sensitive when she found out we were visiting for a funeral. Can't think of anything negative about this place. It exceeded expectations in that it was meticulously maintained, with nothing to snag our attention in a negative way.

The room was fine, comfy beds, the towels were the best we’ve ever had anywhere, but the bathroom was not the best. Everything was so low (toilet and sink area). Another update that should be made is more outlets for people’s phones and watches. It was difficult to find a plug close to the bed so I could see the time and use my alarm. The outlet my watch was plugged into, did not hold the cord and my watch was not charged this morning. Otherwise, it was a fine room.
