After complaining we got a room with a view. However, the room smelled bad. After complaining, somebody came and cleaned diapers, candy wrapper, and other garbage from under the bed.

This is an awesome property. The staff is awesome, especially a gentleman by the name Devy, he made our experience all that much better. We will stay here again the next time we are in San Diego.

We booked the accessible suite as the only remaining suite available, not thinking it would matter. The water pressure was terrible - we asked if we could switch (there for 8 nights) and were told yes 3 times before we were told no. Then they said they’d come take a look at the water pressure and never did. That’s a long time not to be able to wash your hair properly. Property itself was beautiful and wait staff was great.

Our stay was fabulous! My family couldn't have been happier!

Definitely pay for a room on the second floor. Much quieter.

The renovated rooms and bathrooms are really nice, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the food at supper in the restaurant was well prepared. There's no breakfast restaurant...just grab-and-go outside of the lobby area (but food isn't pre-made, so you place your order and stand outside waiting while it's prepared). I might stay there again except that the building do not seem to be insulated for noise. I could hear people talking in the hall outside my room at all hours, kids running up and down the halls and yelling, and the exterior door banging shut. I also felt a lack of privacy because my first floor room had large sliding glass doors, but the parking lot was just a few feet away from my room., making changing clothes (or just walking around my room in pjs) uncomfortable.

Beautiful hotel and excellent location close to the surf soccer fields

Excellent overall experience. Beautiful property. Complimentary snacks and water. Excellent service. Great mattress. High end linens.

Staff was great, although the housekeeping crew could be a little loud, which was an issue because the rooms aren't very soundproof. My main complaint was that the A/C unit malfunctioned around 9:00 pm and sounded like a jet was landing in my room. As result, i didn't get much sleep that night. However, the next day the staff addressed it right away and got it fixed. It would have been nice to get a little knocked off my bill for a bad night, but I didn't press the issue. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Despite a night of interrupted sleep, I would stay there again.

the sliding bathroom door was tricky
-
Great stay for only 1 night. Should stay longer
-
The staff were kind and helpful but it felt strange to be where everyone knows each other and you are staying in the guest quarters .
-
Superb at every detail. Couldn't be happier with the stay. We'll be back no doubt.
-
Understaffed, but if you’re just there to sleep and shower, you could do worse. Ultimately, it’s just a motel outside Rancho Santa Fe.

My reservation was for 2 queen beds and when I checked in they didn’t have any. I had to ask to keep me posted. When I check on Sunday afternoon still none. So I just said is okay. Told my husband to stay home.
