Cambria Hotel Rock Hill - University Center

The property as a whole is a very nice place. It is clean throughout. The staff were very friendly. That there were places to eat very close by. The coffee pot did not work asked for them to check never did get a response. No body wash in bathroom container. That was corrected first thing.

If you are coming to visit a student at Winthrop University, there is no better location. The parking is convenient and the check in was very efficient. The room was fine, but the air conditioner, while blowing cool air, was not dehumidifying. The room has a damp, clammy feel which made sleeping difficult. I also think that the breakfast was overpriced, not worth the extra expense. Overall, a decent stay but I won’t be going out of my way to stay here again.

Room cleaning did lack, when we checked in, we found the clean towels on the floor, Black long hair was everywhere within the room, none of the surfaces were cleaned or wiped down. When I went down-stairs to the front desk and reported it, the lady on shift was not customer friendly, she acted like it was an inconvenience for her to call in the service requested. This was the first attempt, 3 hours late we reported it again and the same attitude from a different employee on shift, she did report it to housekeeping and the room was finally serviced. The best part of our stay was the sky bar, the service and food were outstanding, kudos to the cook and bar back awesome service. Management needs to send the staff to customer service training on how to greet customers and respond to the issues at hand does not make the customer feel unwanted and display negative attitude when approached for assistance. This was our first visit and will be the last, we were not impressed with the disrespect and negative attitude that was projected by the front desk staff, unprofessional, I hope that something will be done to correct this, otherwise you will lose a lot of business.

It’s a great hotel. Bars, food. Newer. Once a brand new hotel is showing signs of wear. Which is unfortunate. First, hairs on floor-bathroom and living area. No one wants to see that. Vacuum properly. A bug landed on my arm while watching tv. I flicked it, landed on vent and crawled in. Ew. Do not get a top floor or the outdoor top bar will keep you awake as the kitchen is loud, every chair or bar stool that gets pulled out is loud. Just unfortunate. Was able to switch rooms second night. Floors better. However hairs behind toilet seat. Come on! Nice hotel but you can’t continue to charge for this experience. Charged $5 day for parking as well when sign clearly says free parking. Cleaning staff is hard to come by. Just properly train them to clean and look for hairs. Makes you wonder what is and isn’t cleaned.

Everything from check-in to check-out was great. I was in town for an event at the Rock Hill Sports Center, which is right next door. The perfect spot if you're attending an event there!

Very nice building and great spaces. I traveled mid week and the town / hotel was not crowded. Reasonably priced and lots of options to walk to for food / drinks
