Hyatt House Royal Oak/Birmingham

I was charged twice and the GM has still not responded or resolved. I prepaid with Engine and they made me pay again at a higher rate as well. I tried to resolve with 3 different people at hotel with no success. I have never had this issue using Engine..always smooth. This particular hotel is problem

New building and everyone was extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast was great and beds were comfortable. I would stay here again! Not far from downtown for events (we went to a concert).

This was our first time staying here. We will definitely be back. The breakfast staff were outstanding and they had a variety of good fresh food daily. Our room was very clean and spacious! We loved our stay. Shout out to the new receptionist at the front desk. She was kind and gave us excellent food recommendations in the immediate area.

This is a well located hotel. The bar was not open. It’s a walkable area. Parking and access is easy. It’s definitely not the nicest I’ve stayed in but it’s not the worst.

Excellent hotel especially for business purposes. Clean room, quiet, staff was so friendly and restaurants and a Meijer Market Fresh store are all in walking distance.

Stayed for one night. The only issue was the initial room we were allocated was not cleaned. However, stuff was quick to rectify the issue and allocated us a new room.

What made the situation even worse was the attitude of the front desk staff and the manager. Rather than taking responsibility or showing any empathy, they simply said it wasn’t their fault and that we would have to deal with Expedia ourselves. We already had nearly $900 tied up in a fully prepaid reservation, yet they offered no solution, no alternative room, no assistance finding another hotel, and no effort to make the situation right. Being stranded late at night after a full day of traveling and having to scramble to find accommodations at 11:00 p.m. was incredibly stressful and unacceptable. Customer service is tested when things go wrong, and unfortunately this hotel completely failed. I would not recommend staying here based on how they handled our reservation and treated us.

The staff is definitely their best asset. My husband was having surgery at Beaumont and the location of this property cannot be beat. You do not even need to get out on the highway to get to the hospital from the hotel.

Staff was overly accommodating and helpful!

The room was clean and the staff was exceptional. The air conditioning in our room seemed loud, but I slept just fine. We were unable to check-out through the TV like other hotels, but check-out at the main desk was quick. Overall, good place to stay when passing through.
