Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites St. Charles by IHG

When we arrived at the property was vacant no attendant was at the front desk. I went to go look at the pool and it was a mossy green color, which I was looking forward to go swimming in the hotel pool skipped on that room was fairly clean fell like carpet was kind of sticky probably would not stay here again

The shade on the window of our room did NOT block the security light so it was quite bright overnight in our room.

The tv apps would not work. The breakfast was fine. Holiday inn expresses are just so hit or miss.

The staff was nice I checked in on Friday about 2pm, I went to see my room then I had to leave to handle something personal. I came back that night after ten, couldn't get in my room after trying 2 times. Finally the girl at the desk calls the room 104 & a man answered saying that it was his room. I'm telling her no I checked in at 2pm and the girl at the desk gave me keys to room 104. The man on the phone telling her that he checked in at 2:45 and was given that room(my room). I received a free upgrade to a bigger room which was great but I'm still irritated & confused(how this come happen). She kept apologizing that she didn't understand what the day shift front desk person did. Sunday afternoon there was a power outage, what a inconvenience, no air, no tv, no elevator so I just packed up my belongings. As I was leaving sometime after 5 nobody was at the desk. I went back something after 8:30pm she yells the power back on I said that's alright I'm going to check out early just want to walk thru my room to make I have everything thing. My check out wasn't until Monday(5/25) at 11am but 2 unpleasant things done already happened, that's a sign to just leave & go home. This was my 55th Birthday weekend the staff was nice, my first time staying here so overall I can't really say how I feel about my stay.

For the high price paid it was horrible. the bathroom was dirty and the bed saggy.

The hotel started sending text messages at 7 AM about checkout times for that day. I would recommend that not be a policy at least until nine.

Very comfortable beds/pillows! Clean rooms! Dove shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion. Very nice! Good breakfast! Pool was warm. Maybe needs a little love.

couch and wall had stains; rust in bathtub. Very full parking with a couple of semi trucks parked in the lot.

Very clean and spacious room No blackout for windows. Our room was directly next to the landing & was bothered by drunk patrons not leaving when no vacancy. Receptionist should have called the police ?

Quiet There wasn’t much, just the damage to the ceilings
