The Stables Inn and Suites

Not right off the exit; but small town feel was nice. The The Stables Inn was on main street in historic Salem, Ohio. The inn was clean and well maintained. The staff was helpful and did their job well. I would stay again!

I loved that the rooms were on first floor and they were very quiet and the beds and pillows were very comfortable and location of hotel was great. I didnt like the parking situation and also the free breakfast was very disappointing. My mother and I went out to get breakfast. It was only 830 am breakfast room opened at 7. There were 2 bagels, 1 pastry only one kind of milk for cereal. There was a little bit of a smell in the hallway.

This hotel was amazingly clean and quiet and we stayed on a weekend! Older finishes but do I care? No! Breakfast was simple:yogurt, little Danish, cereal, fruit. What you saved on room more than would pay for a huge breakfast if you wanted somewhere else. Rooms have real keys too! Booked next stay already.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was so cozy and I slept really well. The ac worked great. It was nice and cool, everything was perfect. Would definitely stay again.

There was no temperature control in room. There was a thermostat but no control. The room was very small and the only window looked out at a brick wall 4 feet away.

Staff was fantastic, location was great, can walk to lots of places. It's old but very nice

Breakfast at 8:45 was only 1 cup of coffee available. Milk was warm. Hostess at desk was busy with customers, so didn’t say anything. My husband and I both drink coffee, so more coffee available. Also I like chilled milk.

Would I stay here again though? Most likely not. The rooms are quite tinny, with ceilings like a corporate office building. Our bed had a few stains on the bed skirt, which we looked past because that’s not used when we sleep. When I went to go under the sheets, I noticed another stain. So, I called the front desk to ask for new bedding. The gentleman brought new bedding immediately and offered to make the bed, but we just undid and redid the bed ourselves. He let us know he would contact housekeeping to fully redo our bed the next day at 11am during check out time. We got back to our room late that next day at around 10pm, and our room was a we left it with no new bedding. But it was okay because we got new bedding the night before. But it would’ve been a kind gesture because of the stains on our bed. The mattress isn’t bad in my opinion, we’ve slept well. The AC does not work, nor does the heater. But they provide heaters and fans upon request. The window doesn’t open, so no fresh air. After one day, our room started to smell like cigarettes, which then led into our towels. I think that’s mostly just the crowd that stays here. The sink is clogged and doesn’t drain properly, but the water gets super hot which is nice. They do provide complimentary breakfast, but it was just some bagels and pastries and cereal. The milk tasted rotten.

Room was simple but very clean. Parking was ample and close. Breakfast was nice. Extremely quiet - felt like I was the only one there! Would stay again if I was in the area.

It was okay for an overnight, room was a bit small. When we went to get breakfast there was not much to pick from and the coffee was lukewarm I had to warm it in the microwave. We went to the adjoing restaurant and my fish sandwich was over fried.

Conveniently located, nice staff but not over the top was the service. Clean There was NO HEAT. And apparently they knew there was no heat. This was something that I would have not stayed if I knew there was no HVAC capabilities on a night that was in the 30s

Bed was supposed to be queen sized, but was definitely smaller than a queen. There was no air or heat, and the room was VERY warm. We had to go out and buy a fan for the

The room was a good value for the price. The boiler heating and a/c system is a pain, but we brought a fan, which helped a lot. They also offered a fan to us if we needed it.

No ac… room was 90 degrees.. then told no fans.. moved us to another room at 1 am.. it was 80 and toilet was clogged .. not family friendly.. stayed for a volleyball tournament where my daughter required a good night sleep .. waste of money

No ac bar was in restaurant next door breakfast and coffee was terrible

The room was clean and the property was comfortable. The continental breakfast could've been better with hot food but overall it was good. The only thing was the TV options was poor. There was no movie channels, just very basic boring channels with little options other than ION TV. Also, having more carts for loading and unloading would've helped. We had to carry everything because we couldn't find a cart.

I stayed for business. This is a cute boutique hotel. It's very clean and the staff was wonderful. I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy but we only sleep there so we don’t need fancy. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. While there we have direct access to two restaurants without having to leave the hotel grounds.
