I found the hotel and the rooms were clean and well kept. The parking was well lit and plentiful. The indoor pool was nice. Unfortunately I didn't try the breakfast but it smelled really good. I will definitely be returning to Hotel Salem. Thank you for a nice stay.

The issue, there's no real sound proofing in the flooring for the rooms. Just after 6 am, stomp stomp stomp, kid's running back and forth. Ok, maybe it will end soon and we'll be able to get back to sleep. Nope. Reached the breaking point at about quarter to seven when i called the front desk and asked for help. They obviously did because about five minutes later all hell broke loose above us. Went from kids running back and forth to what we can only assume was kids jumping onto the floor from the beds. It is unfair to blame the hotel for crappy behaviour of people. But, we can hold the hotel accountable for not effectively dealing with it and, not having effective soundproofing. We wont come back, largely because we don't ever see ourselves staying in the area again and, there's lots of other options. If you go, demand a top floor room and you will not have to deal with what we did.

The bed was very comfortable! A plus in our book! The breakfast was good and the staff very helpful. We were close to many food places and even a Trader Joe’s. Would definitely stay here again!
