I really looked forward to a hot shower after 7 + hour drive. The shower water would only get lukewarm, sink was hot. I reported this on second day at 9am was told staff would be around to check by 1 pm. I waited in room until 3pm approached staff second time. Finally a staff showed up and adjusted something to get water hot ( thank you) the balance of our stay we had hot water and stay was pleasant. Over all was a good not excellent trip. Maybe we will return and try again another day. Location to beach was great

We were allowed to bring our dog who was over the posted weight limit, I did ask in advance. Because we were there in the off season (early September) the room was a great price and we had a ground floor location allowing for easy access to take the dog out. Dogs on a leash are fine on most Sanibel beaches and restaurants (if seated outside) which made for a very enjoyable stay.

Onsite food and dinning was great!

We encountered numerous issues. Amenities were very limited. Small patio bar that was buggy and uncomfortable. Restaurant was very basic with zero atmosphere. Dog poop on the pool deck for the two days we stayed. Construction on the building next door adjacent to the pool was so loud you couldn’t hear yourself think. Our room was cleaned barely and the door left ajar for who knows how long. Towels were only available at the front desk so we had to walk to the office for towels. Really inconvenient. The room itself while a great view was very basic for the price. The no see ums were predatory. There was a warning though about the beach fleas. Overall, poor experience and we checked out early. Not going back.

Excellent all around, everything was immaculate...the beach just steps away. Beach t towels and chairs (umbrellas sold in lobby, we brought our own. Breakfast could be improved...on last day we had pre-made egg sandwiches like the ones you get at the coffee place with the mermaid logo which were mediocre. It be nice if they could fry up some eggs and bacon. The coffee was excellent. We're already planning our next trip there from Miami. Sanibel is just a couple of hours and you step into relax mode the minute you get on the island. Don' miss the National Wildlife Refuge. Drive, bike or hike through it... i'ts wonderful.

The property was really nice the staff was good . The only suggestion I have would be to do something about the stuffy and smell in the hallway to the rooms. The other suggestion would be calibrate the ac and thermostat the room was either to hot or to cold there was no median temperature.

EZ check in. Rooms are clean and updated. Room keys are on a wrist band you can wear -- even in the pool. Good restaurant on site.

The staff is very friendly and the grounds and rooms are well maintained.

We arrived at the property after a few hour drive. Finding it wasnt too diifficult once acclimated to the area. Its off peak season so the island is pretty quiet from what i understand this time of year. February is the worst. traffice, crowds, i heard its brutal. If you want peace and quiet and relaxing times this is the time to go. Moving on, so we arrrived on the property to check in. It was well maintained and very clean. Couldnt find one piece of trash or cigarette butt anywhere. On arrival, the check in was pretty much no frills. Heres your room, heres your key. Dont ask questions because she wasnt very informative. You'd think your first point of contact on property she would be familiar with locations , restaurants, bars, beaches etc. Nope, not familiar with island. Problem #1. second, she didnt seem very happy to be there, Nothing special , no smile, just doing her job as basic as possible. 'Room was decent,Yes, it looks like a converted motel with set up of the same but hey, its a room. nothing special, small, little fridge, little microwave. Stearn and foster comfy mattress. Place was clean and newly renovated bathroom and LVP floor. Which was fine, we werent gonna stay in room much anyways. Housekeeping left ample supply for towels which was nice and small details you could tell she had some passion for her work. Beach access was great, and landscaping and maintenance crew do a great job as well. Staff and food at cafe was great especially breakfast and barista!

How close the beach is and staff was amazing.

From front desk to pool to beach, all the staff is excellent. In the summer evenings, the mosquitos and noseeums are really, really bad. If you have a ground floor room by a stairwell, it can be noisy. Notwithstanding, we will definitely visit and stay again.

Everything was clean and convenient for us! Especially the walking access to the beach that was a plus definitely will return there in the future.

This hotel was perfect for my cousin and my self however when we arrived our commode in our room was stopped up and I called the office and they came and plunged the commode but couldnt get it un stopped. I felt the proper thing to do would be move us to another room so that 2 elderly ladies could properly use the bathroom as needed!!!!!

We had such a nice stay at this location. Staff could not have been more helpful or friendlier. Everything felt clean and nice and housekeeping came every day to straighten up and bring fresh towels. There is no elevator though, so be prepared to haul all your stuff up a flight of stairs! The shells on the beach were amazing and the chairs and towels provided were a godsend. Don’t hesitate to book here-we would definitely do it again!

Our stay was great the only thing was the walls that separate the rooms are very thin. We were able to hear both the tv and our neighbors conversations . Aside from that and the sand mites it was a great trip
-
Nice view from some balconies.

We loved the location to all of our stops during our stay we went to museums and preserves and beaches every day

The gardens are nice! The pool enjoyable. Tony the front desk lady was smiley and helpful! The helpers for chairs on the beach weee hard working and I appreciated them. The tiki bar waitress was so friendly and smiley. The wait staff in the restaurant gave excellent service and the food was excellent. I will be coming back to this resort! Claudia Lodermeier
