Comfort Inn & Suites Scarborough - Portland

The complimentary breakfast was awesome. The room was clean. The toilet had stains on it making it look dirty. The elevator sounded awful.

Overall the property was average, definitely an older building but still decent The building needs updating, furniture was old and stained, the room smelled of mildew and the bedding was stained

Location and stafff The shower curtain was installed incorrectly. Instead of the rod coming outward it hung down forcing the curtain to stay in the middle. This does not stop the water from getting on to the floor. Simple fix just takes a few moments

Same breakfast every day, not a great customer service. Shower curtains dirty

But need to be cleaned Bathroom rugs Elevator And drawers were not useable in room

There was no smoke detector in the room? The AC unit put out weird smelling air and sounded like it might burn out

Room was clean beds were comphy and staff at front desk were friendly.

There was never anyone at the counter, I waited at least 20 mins just for someone to come check us in and never said anything about us waiting. They actually have a sign saying if checking out just leave the key on the counter. All that to say staff was very scarce.

Breakfast fine. Location excellent. Staff were very very difficult to understand and were unresponsive to requests. We had ONE coat hanger and our request for more was ignored. Room was dirty. One pillow had no cover. There were several more issues that can be summed by the phrase: Bad Management.

The man working at the front desk was very helpful and courteous. his name is ? From India---I had his card but lost it. He was working on 9/17/2016 at about 4 PM. Great guy!

Staff was truly on cell and talking with me and person on phone ( extremely unprofessional) no shampoo in room and did not ask for some because I saw everyone visibly on their phone . I do not like reporting negativity like this but just very disappointed

Had to wait 10 minutes to check in because no one was there when we walked in. Elevators were rickety. The shower curtain was not long enough in the bathroom so the water went all over the floor. Staff was friendly but wasn’t the best stay we’ve had at a hotel.

The staff was able to change our room after the first night. The room we had the first night shouldn't have been booked. It had lots of problems. We did get another room the next day. The breakfasts had a lot of different items to choose from. The morning staff were very helpful.

Very clean, quiet and conveniently located on Route 1 just outside Portland. Only two complaints: There was never anyone at the front desk! Even other guests remarked on this. When checking in, I had to wait about fifteen minutes for someone to show up! And the hot breakfast is mediocre. The coffee was terrible!
