La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Seguin

The room was clean and spacious. Most of the staff was great. The rooms stayed cool and comfortable. Breakfast was good. The same thing everyday but a good start to the day. The pool had a lot of wasp around it. Something needs to be done about that. Nest where everywhere around the building. Beds are super comfortable.

Check-in process was smooth & efficient. Room was amazing, breakfast was organized and clean. We plan on staying there every softball tournament my daughter has scheduled in Sequin. Room 229

We had 2 rooms, one of them was good the other not so much. The ac was just okay. The bathroom fan didn't work at all so the whole room got super yuck! The bed was comfortable which for me says a lot because who really says beds in hotels are comfortable. Nice area within walking distance to food and convenience store. We have stayed here before and even then, basic maintenance stuff was the issue. Would I stay here again? Probably!

The room is clean. However, the sink wouldn’t drain at all in the bathroom. And went down and complained and no one fixed it. We asked them for a plunger and they never brought one to the room. We had to wait until the next morning when it was checkout day, for they even came to fix the clogged drain. When asked a staff attendant about stuff, she looked at me like I was stupid and say much, no communication the potatoes were dry and the breakfast and the meat didn’t look that well. The air conditioner did work that was a plus.

Towels were not changed daily. We kept having to chase down cleaners to get clean towels. The lady at breakfast was quite abrupt with the kids several times when standing in front of waffle irons with me right next to them. There were also no knives to cut waffles the second and third days . She said they ran out. Kids in the pool making lots of noise late night right under our window. Not a great stay probably will choose a different hotel next stay.

Sleeping outside would be cleaner.

The first room we were given smelled like a dirty ashtray. The second was better but the bathroom door would not close. The pool was completely locked up and could not be used. I couldn’t find the gym at all either. Do not recommend.

Terrible experience,

Handicapped people with a pet needing a roll in shower beware. Our room was clean and comfortable. It took over an hour to get checked in because I had reserved the accessible room with a roll in shower, there is only one and is on the first floor. We have a Cocker Spaniel and have stayed in that room before with our dog with no problem. When checking in we were assigned to a room on Floor 2 that had a tub shower because of a "no pets on first floor" policy. There is no mention of this anywhere on the website or online. I asked to see the manager who was not on the property. The staff member finally contacted someone by phone and after over an hour, we were finally given the room with the roll in shower but only for this stay. I understand wanting to have pet free rooms and a pet free area, however for someone needing the safety of that shower and it being the only room on the property with that, I wish there was a pet exception for that room. The no pets on the first policy still remains in place. We stay at this property because of the very reasonable pet deposit required whereas that deposit at other properties is near or at $100.00.

• The air conditioner did not work. Tried to turn it down lower, it blew air but did not cool the room. • Room had a weird smell like almost mildewy but not yet full blown mildew. • The shower curtain was mounted too high so it did not fit in the shower and water would get everywhere if the shower head was not facing the wall. • TV remote didn’t work properly. • The sheets felt damp when we got in the bed. • There was construction material by the entrance we used, looked like a safety hazard for those with small children or who don’t pay attention. • Side door on our side of the building didn’t work so we had to go the long way around. If we didn’t just drive over 13 hours we would’ve gotten a refund and went somewhere else but we were too tired to change hotels. Do NOT fall for the pictures of the property, it’s a trap lol but for real pictures are outdated.

The room was clean but you could definitely tell that the hotel needs some upkeep. There was mildew stains on the bottom of the bathroom wall and the faucet leaked nonstop in the bathtub. The lampshade was rusted all around the bottom so it was stained. The sheets were clean and the toilet and tub and sink were all clean. Just needs some revamping

Air conditioner didn't cool as good as I hoped but overall great stay.

However the staff did nothing to control the noise levels from the rowdy people staying there for team sporting events. Clearly there some kind of competition in town. However late into the night they were yelling and running up and down the hallways. The parents:team chaperones did nothing to stop them. The hotel should have stepped in so the other guests could get some rest.

Great stay! Very nice pool, good breakfast, and very nice and clean room! Would stay again!

Clean, quiet, and convenient location

Building old but clean room. Didn't try breakfast and a/c work well

The swimming pool was not cleaned prior to using it the morning of July 4. Was at the pool from 10:00-2:00 and no one cleaned it. We didn’t get in the water. Other than that, staff were nice, breakfast was nice, rooms were nice. But the pool water, not so nice

Very well maintained. We enjoyed our stay.
