Great hotel! So much history. Great pool. Great tavern restaurant. Great spa. Perfect place for a romantic get away!

when i arrived and was given a room key the room was a total mess and had not been cleaned at all from the previous day. this was a check in after 3pm. Housekeeping had marked the room as clean. Lobby clerk very apologetic and nice. the next room looked clean but had a wad of hair on the floor in the bathroom. The food was good at Darby’s Tavern (friendly waitress Peyton)and the massages were excellent at the Spa. Continental breakfast was excellent. The pool bathroom was a mess each time we went and the floor very slippery. Trash cans outside were filthy. Such a beautiful property but housekeeping needs retraining.

The only "complaint" and I won't call it that...just an observation that could use some handling is the squeaky beds. They are old and beautiful, and the mattress was comfortable, but it could use some tightening or oil or something because any time my husband moved or rolled over, it was so loud it woke me up. Maybe it was just our room, but that was the only thing we would change.

This was only a single night stay enroute to another destination. We have stayed here before and decided to stay again. Great staff, good breakfast, great facilities in an historic and charming setting. We will return and stay longer next time.

The rumors will be rumors; “haunted” is not how I would ever describe this hotel, ENCHANTING is more appropriate. Between the rustic feel, the beautiful rooms, amazing staff and overall cozy southern hospitality feel it’s hard to describe just how pleasant our stay at the berry hill resort was. The tavern as well as indoor pool were magnificent and the bed/ room were extremely comfy and inviting. Excellent, fulfilling breakfast with SO much to do on the property. Would not only recommend for a romantic getaway but anytime treeing through southern Virginia as well!

It was amazing staying here and the next time I’m in the area. I will definitely sit here and go back again. Amazing views wonderful pool and all everything was just amazing.

Everything is always perfect at Berry Hill Resort. They are accommodating with early and late check-outs w previous notice. There are many places so see on site such as displays of the history of Berry Hill, a historical family cemetery which is interesting, if you like history. Dogs are welcome and there are fields for walk. Original cabins are on-site which compliment the historical home with its massive pillars and beautiful rooms. Berry Hill also hosts indoor and outdoor weddings which become magical, exquisite events with forever memories.

Just beautiful. The Tavern is a great place to spend your evening. Price is fair. Breakfast options could be better…is it too much to ask for toast and HOT coffee?

TV in room wouldn't turn on. The place was beautiful and we loved the history. Met nice people.

Pool was not open! There was no water in it!
